Dear Student ,
There is no lateral entry in BCA course as distance learning . Well, the basis eligibility criteria for getting admission in BCA is to pass class 12th qualifying exam mandatorily with any stream from any recognized board .
Well, you may opt distance education from IGNOU to continue your study along with your job but make sure that you should qualify your 12th exam .
Note : there is no age bar in IGNOU for getting admission
Some of the colleges name that offers regular course of BCA through lateral entry admission is:

Hello There,
Hope you are doing good .
Listen, If you are pursuing B Tech in food technology and wanted to Pursue, B tech in Computer Engineering then firstly you need to drop B tech in Food technology and for getting good college fo r B Tech in computer Engineering you have to clear the the JEE Mains or few Institutions Like NIT, IIT etc prefers JEE Mains + JEE Advance
But according to my opinion as you have mentioned that you are Pursuing B Tech in food technology and if you are going to take admission in B Tech it will be not good for your career perspective because you many years will going to waste.
Here I am listing some Tremendous Jobs with good Package after completing B tech in food technology and also there are so many Universities that provides placement in B Tech in Food Technology course.
Here are the Job Profile of B Tech in Food Technolog y :-
--> Food Scientist
--> Process Technologist
--> Food Safety Technologist
--> Organic Chemists
--> Product Development Manager
Hope this will help
Thank you !
Application Technologist.
Hello Aspirant,
See it depends upon you where your interest is like if you are interested in programming, coding, problem solving then it is good to be with computer engineering and also if you are seeking placement by just completing B.Tech. then definitely computer engineering would be the good choice for you but if you are neither placement oriented nor have any specific interest in coding, computers, etc. but have interest in fooding sector like cooking solving different problems of food industry and likewise then you should go with food technology.
If we talk about career aspects then definitely computer engineering will take higher edge because there are various companies or MNCs that hire computer science engineers a lot and also there is much demand of that too but unlike computer engineering, food technology has not yet evolved that much and also for now there are not that much career option in fooding sector but yes if you are interested in some start-up sort of thing then definitely you can go with food technology path and can start your own company or your own start-up so with food technology the path is going to be little harder towards the successful career but will be much brighter if you could make the one.
I hope this information helps you.
