• ACADEMIC FEES -

- For semester 1 and semester 2 fees is as following -

Tuition Fee (Rs.) - 1,23,000

Academic Service Fee (Rs.) - 82,000

Total (Rs.) - 2,05,000

- For semester 3 and Semester 4, fees is as following-

Tuition Fee (Rs.) - 1,32,000

Academic Service Fee (Rs.) - 88,000

Total (Rs.) - 2,20,000

- For Semester 5 and Semester 6, fees is as following -

Tuition Fee (Rs.) - 1,42,000

Academic Service Fee (Rs.) - 95,000

Total (Rs.) - 2,37,000

- For semester 7 and Semester 8, fees is as following -

Tuition Fee (Rs.) - 1,52,000

Academic Service Fee (Rs.) - 1,02,000

Total (Rs.) - 254000

• HOSTEL FEES -

- The fee indicated below is for academic session 2021-22 only and is on triple sharing basis .

- Rs. 1,70,000/- Regular Hostel for boys and girls at Bidholi and Kandoli Campus.

However for girls student, few additional triple sharing rooms with ad-on facilities only at the Kandholi campus as indicated below:

- Rs. 1,90,000/- for hostel room with attached washroom (only for girls)

- Rs. 2,13,500/- for hostel room with attached washroom and Air conditioning (only for girls)

- Interest free refundable hostel security Fee: Rs. 10,000/-

• REFUNDABLE SECURITY FEES-

Refundable (interest free) security amount of Rs. 20,000/- is also payable at the time of registration.

• TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION FEES-

For industrial exposure and certificate charge of Rs. 22,500/- (one time) is to be paid in 2nd semester in case of PG student, 3rd semester in case of 3 year UG Programs & 5th semester in rest of the cases.

• TECHNOLOGY FEES -

Being 1st year of Technology Fee, the fee for the year 2021-22 is Rs. 3,200/- per semester and for next year, it will be decided next year.

• PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT ( PDP)  FEES -

PDP fee of Rs. 7,500/- payable at the time of admission in case of PG students. PDP fee for UG programs except B.Sc, is Rs. 20,000/-, out of which half is payable at the time of admission and balance half in penultimate (second last) semester.

• ALUMNI FEE-

Rs. 1500 as Alumni fees will be charged at the time of Registration

• CONVOCATION FEES-

Student will be charged Rs. 1500 as convocation fee to be paid in penultimate semester (Second Last).

• TRANSPORTATION FEES -

Students residing in Dehradun city and wishing to avail transportation facility to the UPES campus can avail the same by paying a fee of Rs.20,000 for academic year 2020-21

------- SCHOLARSHIP OR FEE CONCESSION DETAILS ARE AS FOLLOWING -

33% concession on tuition fee shall be provided only to Uttarakhand bonafide resident students on merit cum means basis to be decided by the University subject to fulfilling the following conditions:

- Students whose gross annual family income is not more than 12 Lakhs,

- Students who possess valid "Sthai Niwas Praman Patra" / "Mool Niwas Praman Patra" / "Adhiwas Niwas Praman Patra" (Permanent Residence Certificate) issued by the competent authority of Uttarakhand state.

- The ride of having passed Class X and XII examination from Uttarakhand state is being removed in the case of students having the relevant Uttarakhand domicile certificate / document.

Honestly, The total fees you would be paying for your degree would be around 25Lakhs that is too much to afford for a middle class family.

With reference to your above mentioned query, I would like to tell you that Yes, it is obviously possible for you to give your JEE examination and to drop out your present first year college and get an NIT or an IIT to study Btech in Computer Science and Engineering.

The eligibility criteria for giving jee mains examination are :

Qualifying exam -

• Students should have passed the 12th class or qualifying the exam in 2020 or 2021.

• Candidates appearing in 12th class or equivalent qualifying exams in 2022 can also apply.

Age Limit - No age limit to appear for JEE Main 2022 exam. Any student who has passed the 12th class or its equivalent exam in the year 2020, 2021, or appearing in 2022 can apply for the entrance exam.

Total number of attempts -  Students can appear in the JEE Main exam for three consecutive years. The entrance test will be conducted four times a year.

Subjects -

• B.E/B.Tech: He/She should have passed the qualifying exam with Physics, Mathematics, and any one of (Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational Subject).

• B.Arch: He/She should have passed the qualifying exam with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
