Computer engineering
Hello student,
The basic difference between Computer Science and Computer Engineering is that CS is fully of software related concepts only whereas CE consists of both the software and well as the hardware concepts of the computer with a higher inclination towards hardware side itself.
However, as of now, in India it does not matter about CS or CE, both the courses are the same. However, if you are applying for abroad admissions, this difference matters a lot.
I hope this helps, All the Best!
Congratulations for scoring such great percentile in MHTCET 2021. With this high percentile, you can easily get admission in some of the top colleges in the state. However, as you expect CS branch only for admission, your chances of getting admission in the top colleges decreases.

Hi,
Both computer science (CS) and computer engineering (CE) are tech-intensive fields oriented around computer and information systems.
The field of computer engineering tends to prioritize computer design and development, whereas computer science places a heavier emphasis on computing theory, translating to a greater focus on cybersecurity, algorithms, and computer networks. If you tend to enjoy building computers, learning about hardware, or designing interfaces, you might prefer computer engineering to computer science. On the other hand, if you find yourself fascinated by computing theory and data analysis, a graduate or undergraduate degree in computer science might be the better option.
Both the courses are good for future.
All The Best!
