Hello ,
If you are more interested in civil engineering then that is good for you.....
The same goes for b.Sc computer engineering ,means if you have interest in computer side then that is also good for you.
Both branches or courses are good but It's all up to you that in which side you are good and more comfortable.....
Nowadays the scope is increasing in both these branches.....but on thing is if you start with civil engineering ans then start you own private sector with proper management and experience then this field is more profitable than computer engineering.....
Here I'm describing the difference between b.sc computer engineering and b.tech civil engineering
B.sc computer engineering
With increasing interest and technology of Computer Engineering ,the scope in this branch is increasing with the evolution of data science, big data, artificial intelligence and machine learning.
The software publishing industry is also poised for growth (software publishing is a main focus of computer science degrees).....
In this field ,job chances are higher than civil engineering with high pay scale and wide range of companies such as computer hardware system companies, computer networking companies, software development companies, academic institutions and many more....
Computer education in India is so important that people who do other degrees also do additional computer-based certification courses to add value to their degree....
B.tech Civil engineering
Civil engineering is known for to the stream of engineering that primarily deals in construction and designing.civil engineering has been and will always remain one of the most relevant and demanded professional fields....
With few years of experience, civil engineer can earn upto average INR 10-15 lakh per annum.Civil engineering is a domain of studies that offers opportunities for quick appraisals in career....
Civil Engineering accounts for most of the employment in the engineering field in india or foreign...
A civil engineer can opt to specialise in one of their fields, or they can pursue entrepreneurship or management opportunities. Civil Engineering is a highly profitable profession, with the best minimum pay or salaries of any discipline....
Hope this helps
All the best for your Future !
Hello,
As the rank scored by you is the decent one and also you belong to ST category which is helpful for securing admission in that particular category, but if this is your ST category rank than it will be very difficult for you to secure admission in any top level of colleges due to high competition and high cutoffs but than to definitely you can try in some medium level colleges where you will find high chance of securing admission hence, doing research will be important before applying in any college.
Thank you..
Hello aspirant
hope you are doing well and safe. As per your query , I would glad to inform you that thapar university will be a better option than pec . Thapar university holds 23rd rank in nirf ranking ,it has well developed infrastructure ,qualified faculities and good alumi network due to which its placement scenario is quite fascinating , The lowest package went around 6 lakhs and the average package goes around 10 lakhs and highest went upto 41 lakhs
Hope you found this answer informative. Best wishes for your future
Dear candidate, before ranking them according to placements let me share one thing after your B.E/B.Tech you can expect a starting Package of 3-5 LPA. So keeping that in mind,
1. NIT Jalandhar
2. Thapar
3. PEC Chandigarh
However if you gather profound knowledge you can expect starting Package of 8-10 LPA in these institutions and with increasing experience you will get more.
Good luck!!

Hello Student
Computer science focuses mainly focuses on the troubleshooting affairs of software level. Trick to learn different programming language, how to work with operating system, how to maintain database.
On the other hand computer engineering focuses on solving the problems designing software and hardware interfaces.
Computer engineering in New horizon college engineering Bangalore has a good record of placement and education. Better than any other engineering colleges in Bangalore . Mainy BPO companies come for recruitment. Placement in computer engineering is far better than any other stream of engineering of New horizon College of engineering.
Hi there,
For doing engineering whether it is computer Or anything you need to clear the boards in PCM category and you have to clear entrance examination for that maths is compulsory.
Although you can go for BCA bachelor in computer application for this degree you don't need maths in standard 12th.But you have to learn it during your bca degree.
Hello Vibhor,
Hope you are doing all good. You have not mentioned which exam you are talking about. Please mention the exam name as without the details no accurate information can be shared.
However, guessing from the rank and branch, if it is JEE Mains, you will unfortunately not be eligible for any NITs / IIITs in CSE. You might try out for other private colleges and for a detailed list of colleges that you qualify for, try out the College Predictor Tool: https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?utm_source=qna&utm_medium=jee_cp
