Computer knowledge
hello, i am sorry to hear that you could not clear Government exams, but there is always hope as there are still many career options left for you to pursue. However, you must devise a career plan. You want to become a data science or analytics, these are two different things once you get into the details of it, Data analytics is more specific and concentrated than data science . Data analytics focuses more on viewing the historical data in context while data science focuses more on machine learning and predictive modeling.
To become succesful in either of these fields, you must have some key skills in your arsenal ;
yes, the pay is good of a data scientist or an analyst but it is not easy to become one .So, if you are confident that you can learn all these and much more. Then you should go for it but since you said you hardly have any computer knowledge, it could be difficult for you. take you time and then come to a well thoughtand evaluated decision.
Computer Literacy is one of the preferred skills for every professions. The knowledge required varies from fields to fields. If you are opting for Observational Science or subjects which contain dealing with data then knowing atleast a programming language such as Python, c++ etc will be preferred as in the curriculum of subjects like Physics, Mathematics, Psychology etc includes this skills as in there subjects. Now if you are from hardcore arts then you may not need to know a lot of computer but you must be aware of word, excel etc in order to track & maintain records of students. If you are going to be a professor of Commerce then you need to atleast know the softwares such as Tally Erp which are usually included in the curriculum.
So its dependent on the college & subject for which you are becoming the Assistant professor in the college.
I hope this answer provides you some insight. Wish you a great eve!

Hello, I hope you are doing fine, Before you understand computers, you need to understand design, so start with looking up the principles of design and the elements of design. No matter what medium you use (photography, hand cut lettering, collage, or computer-aided images), you’ll always need to understand these in order to do well.
First prerequisite is to have common sense and then a good sense of color. Next step is the learning process wherein you need to practice on your imagination skills and try to replicate it digitally. So your next prerequisite comes down to software skills i.e learning the design tools and it's usage in a effective way. Good Understanding of Photoshop and illustrator is a must I would say to be a good graphic designer without forgetting the common sense part. And make sure you design for the society's welfare too. The last point is just my request. All the best. I hope you find this information helpful. I wish you all the best for your future. Good Luck
Hello Sachin,
You need to have basic knowledge of working with computers which is taught in school till 12th class. Even if you haven't studied computers in 11th and 12th, no worries the study of Computer till class 10th is also sufficient. In Computer Science Engineering (CSE ), first year starts from very basic study of computer. So, you need not to worry much. The basic knowledge you studied at school level is sufficient.
Moreover, if you are still not satisfied and you want to gain some knowledge before starting your CSE course, then you can go for basic computer certificate courses or diplomas, which you can pursue online as well as offline. Prior knowledge before starting CSE course gives you an extra edge that is it will become easy to study the course.
Hope this helped.
All the Best!!
