Computer Science Engineering
Hello,
The fees structure for a B.Tech in CSE varies depending on the type of college you are considering, government, private, or deemed universities. In government colleges like the IITs, NITs, or state engineering colleges, the annual tuition fee usually ranges from Rs 30,000 to Rs 1.5 lakh, with additional charges for hostel, mess, and other facilities bringing the total yearly cost to around Rs 1.5 to Rs 2.5 lakh. For private institutions such as SRM, VIT, or Amity, the tuition fee can range from Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 3 lakh per year, and the overall cost for the 4-year program may be anywhere between Rs 6 lakh to Rs 15 lakh, depending on the facilities and reputation of the institution.
Hope this helps. All the best !
With 63.82 percentile in MHT CET , it is quite difficult to get Computer Science (CS) or Artificial Intelligence (AI) branch in top government or top private colleges in Nagpur , especially in the CAP rounds .
These branches usually close at higher percentiles (above 90–95) in good colleges.
Hope it helps !
To get accurate answer, please ask your question by mentioning which exam are you referring to, in which you got this rank.
Thank you !
in NIT's section you can get lower ranked NIT's like NIT Mizoram and NIT Nagaland based on your rank and the basis you want to study in
With a KCET rank of 34,814 and 3B category, you have a chance to get CS Engineering in mid-level colleges like:
Acharya Institute of Technology
New Horizon College of Engineering
East West Institute of Technology
Atria Institute of Technology
SJBIT (may get in later rounds)
Seat allotment depends on cutoff trends, so keep backup branches too.
Yes ,if you did not get seat through regular counselling then you get admission through mangement quota for Cs (computer science) and Ec (Electronics and communication).some private colleges keep 20% seats for mangement quota. You have fullfill eligibility criteria which is 12 th pass with minimum 50% marks.
Hi dear candidate,
Getting a top tier college at the rank of 144299 in KCET exam is difficult like RVCE Bangalore, PES University, BMS College etc.
But it's not like you will not get any college at all, the top tier colleges are between the rank of 2,000 to 10,000. Rest for the rank above 1,00,000 Reva University, RNS Institute, BMS Institute etc. should be available to you.

With a Stream 1 rank of 462 in SASTRA University and 96.98 percentile in JEE Main 2025, you have a very high chance of getting Computer Science (CS) or CS with specialization.
Can you please specify in which entrance exam you have been ranked 23894 like in EAMCET, KCET or JEE so that we can help you further. Your social category also plays a major role here in determining your college and exam also as JEE is a nation wide exam where as EAMCET and KCET are state level exams so level of competition is different.

M.Tech usually does not permit external candidates to join as M.Tech courses involve regular attendance, lab sessions and projects. After your B.Tech or equivalent degree most universities would expect you to join as a full-time student. But there are few institutes, where part-time or distance M.Tech is provided with relaxed attendance guidelines- it differs according to the university. In case you are interested in doing M.Tech outside, then verify in particular colleges whether they have that facility, although you should be prepared that most of the good universities give preference to regular students. So, plan accordingly and choose the path that fits your schedule and goals!
