Btech CS better or Bsc CS for further research or study

harsh singh 7th Jun, 2025

B.Tech CS is better than B.Sc CS for research and higher studies because:

Offers stronger practical + theoretical foundation

Preferred for M.Tech, MS, PhD

Better placements and recognition

Choose B.Tech CS for a better research and career path.

Hi I am interested in bsc cs at Elphinstion college and I got 79% in 12th . Then did I get admission at Elphinstion college or not. And also I want to know about the when admission start

Samriddha Pal 4th Jun, 2025

Hello,

With a 79% score in your 12th-grade examinations, you meet the basic eligibility criteria for the B.Sc. Computer Science program at Elphinstone College, Mumbai. But there will be high competition for admission. The college usually has a high cut-off. For the 2024-25 academic year, applications were accepted from May 21 to June 8. Therefore, for the 2025-26 academic year, it's advisable to regularly check the official college website.

Hope this helps. All the best!

What was merit for scholarship at dy patil kolhapur engeering college for cs

Tanisha chaudhary 6th Jun, 2025

HEY THERE!!!

  1. The primary merit-based scholarship for Computer Science at DY Patil College of Engineering and Technology, Kolhapur, is the Sou. Shantadevi D. Patil Merit Scholarship.
  2. Unfortunately, the institution does not publicly disclose the precise cutoff marks or required rank for this scholarship; interested candidates are advised to consult the college directly or refer to their official communications for current eligibility details.
  3. Regarding fee waivers based on category, students belonging to SC, ST, VJ/DT, NT(A), NT(B), NT(C), NT(D), and SBC categories are eligible for a full (100%) tuition fee waiver.
  4. Those from OBC and EWS categories, as well as open category students under the EBC scheme, may receive a 50% tuition fee concession.
  5. For general merit scholarships, selection is typically determined by entrance examination performance (such as JEE Main or MHT CET) and academic record.
  6. The specific cutoff varies annually and is not publicly available; therefore, prospective applicants should verify the latest criteria through the college’s official channels.

With this rank you might not get into government college but you can look for the private colleges to opt for CS branch. Many private universities accept Jee mains score and give admissions.

my rank is 35000 which collages can I get i want Cs course in. B E

Kishan Bhakat 2nd Jun, 2025

hi,

decent colleges — especially in private or semi-government institutions, depending on your state and category.

If you're from Karnataka and this is your KCET rank, then colleges like Acharya Institute of Technology , New Horizon College of Engineering , JSSATE Bengaluru , and BMSIT might be possible in later rounds. Government colleges might be tough for CS at this rank, but you could still get other branches and try for branch change later.

If you're from another state, let me know — because cutoffs change from state to state and quota to quota. Also, if you're from a reserved category (SC/ST/OBC), your chances improve significantly.

173000 ranking, which college we have to join cs engineering

Kishan Bhakat 1st Jun, 2025

hi,

With a rank of 173,000 in JEE Main, getting admission to Computer Science Engineering (CSE) in top government colleges like NITs or IIITs will be very tough. Usually, CSE seats in these colleges close much earlier, with ranks going up to around 30,000 or 40,000. But don’t worry, you can still look at private engineering colleges, many of which offer CSE and have more flexible admission criteria.

You can also check state-level colleges and counselling where cutoffs might be lower. If you’re open to related branches like Information Technology, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering, you might find more options. It’s important to participate in all counselling rounds because sometimes seats remain vacant in later rounds, giving you a chance.

my cousin ranking is 46000 in kcet looking for Ai &Ml ,cs in banglore

Akansha Sharma 1st Jun, 2025

With a KCET rank of 46,000, your cousin has a fair chance of getting admission into AI & ML or Computer Science (CS) in some good private colleges in Bangalore under the government quota. Top colleges like RV, BMS, and MSRIT may be tough, but colleges like Acharya Institute, East West Institute, AMC Engineering, or T John College could be possible. It’s a good idea to apply to multiple colleges and check cutoffs in each counselling round for better chances.

my jee score consider in aiems94.32persantale cs group

Akansha Sharma 1st Jun, 2025

Your JEE Mains score of 94.32 percentile is good and can be considered by AIEMS (All India Engineering Management System) for admission, especially if you are in the CS (Computer Science) group. AIEMS accepts JEE scores for many engineering colleges. However, admission depends on the specific college’s cut-off and seat availability. It’s best to check the AIEMS official website or contact them directly to know if your score fits their CS program and what the next steps are for applying.
