Effect of the covid-19 pandemic on the Indian economy

Neha Kanwar 7th Jan, 2021

Hello Shiwani,

The impact of coronavirus pandemic on India has been largely disruptive in terms of economic activity as well as loss of human lives. India faced a huge decline in government revenues and growth of the income for at least two quarters as the coronavirus hit economic activity of the country as a whole. A fall in investor sentiments impacts privatization plans, government and industry.

Hope it helps.

Good Luck!

Do we need 12th results for admission in NITs after jee main? i mean the eligibility criteria for JEE mains has been reduced this year due to the(covid-19) pandemic. So if a student clears jee mains with a good parcentile but he scored 60% in boards .............will he get a admission in NIT??

Kamal Kishor Chaurasiya 28th Aug, 2020

Hi aspirant,

The eligibility criteria required for JEE Main usually is following:

  • A candidate needs to get 75% or more in class 12 board examination or other similar examination
  • Or he/she should be in the top 20 percentile list in his/her respective board.

But this year on account of Covid19 pendemic this eligibility criteria has been scrapped and now candidate needa to get only the passing certificate. You have obtained 60% in board. Hence you will be able to get admission provided you perform well in JEE Main and meet other requirements as well.

All the best.
