I got 39 in physics 39 in chemistry 40 in maths and 111 in Cs. With Cs instead of chemistry I get 134.5. So do i fit in Mht Cet grouping?

Prachi Kumari 6th May, 2025

Hello,

Based on the MHT CET grouping , candidates are usually grouped based on their best three subjects (Physics, Chemistry, and Maths/Computer Science).

In your case:

  • You scored 39 in Physics, 39 in Chemistry, and 40 in Maths, and 111 in Computer Science.

  • If you replace Chemistry with Computer Science, your total score becomes 134.5.

For the MHT CET, your score will depend on the course and the cutoff for that course. If you are aiming for engineering or other specific courses, you should check the official MHT CET cutoff for the specific year and course to see if you meet the requirements.

Generally, your total of 134.5 should be competitive for many courses, but it’s best to consult the latest MHT CET results or college-specific cutoffs to be sure.

Hope it helps !

i have a ba degree in communicative english which i completed in 2022 with 7+ cgpa but due to a technical error i got a baclog in a practical which i cleared in 2024. i also had health issues. can i shift to a msc in cs or mca degree now? which colleges can i apply??

sadafreen356 5th May, 2025

Shifting to an MSc in CS or MCA might be challenging given your background in BA Communicative English. However, some universities offer bridge courses or certifications that can help you transition into these fields.

Possible Options:

- MSc in CS: Some colleges might consider applicants with non-technical backgrounds if they show potential and a willingness to learn. You'll likely need to take additional courses to bridge the gap between your BA and MSc in CS.

- MCA: MCA programs often accept students from various disciplines, but having a technical background can be beneficial. You might need to demonstrate your interest and aptitude for computer science.

Colleges to Consider:

- Top Indian Universities: IIITs, IITs, and NITs offer MSc in CS programs. Some might have more flexible eligibility criteria than others.

- Universities with Bridge Courses: Look for universities that offer bridge courses or certifications in computer science for non-technical graduates.

Action Plan:

1. Research Universities: Look for universities that offer MSc in CS or MCA programs with flexible eligibility criteria.

2. Reach Out to Admissions: Contact the admissions offices of universities you're interested in to discuss your eligibility and potential bridge courses.

3. Highlight Transferable Skills: Emphasize the skills you've developed during your BA program, such as communication, writing, or analytical skills, which can be valuable in CS or MCA.

4. Prepare for Entrance Exams: Some universities might require entrance exams like GRE or GMAT for MSc in CS or MCA programs.

Keep in mind that admission decisions depend on various factors, including university policies, available seats, and competition. Be prepared to face challenges, and don't hesitate to reach out to universities for guidance.

Yes, you can apply. Even though you had a backlog, you cleared it in 2024, so your degree is now complete. You finished your BA in Communicative English in 2022 with a good CGPA, which is great. The backlog happened because of a technical issue, and you also had health problems, so that’s understandable. Most colleges and job places accept this if you explain it honestly. You can apply for higher studies or jobs now without a problem.

Rank of addmission in B. E cs

Swayam 13th May, 2025

Admission to Presidency College in Chennai's B.Sc. Computer Science program (not B.E. CS; it's B.Sc. CS) is determined by your merits in the science stream, with either computer science or mathematics as a subject.  Your academic standing and seat availability will determine your selection; there is no entrance exam or set rank.

i got 96.24 percentile in jee mains and im vjnt-d so can i get CS in kkwagh??

Rajeswari Dey 5th May, 2025

Hi aspirant,

Based on last year's data and with your VJNT-D status, earning a Computer Science seat at K.K. Wagh Institute of Engineering Education and Research with a 96.24 percentile in JEE Mains appears to be a good possibility.

However, cutoffs change from year to year, so for the most up-to-date information, consult the official admission lists and actively participate in the counseling process.

All the best!
