Please mention that which exam you qualified like AP EAMCET , TS EAMCET , JEE Mains , APECET e.t.c. . But rank is below 2000 is good in OBC Category . I think you get good government college in Computer Science and Engineering branch .
Computer Science and Engineering is a good branch and it have good scope and future as well .

Hello aspirant,congratulations for your marks.With 97 percentile it is bit difficult to hget CSE in good NIT's eventhough you belong to OBC.You can get other good branches like ECE,EE in NIT Raipur,Jamshedpur,Jammu.You can get Ceramic,Food Processing,Metallurgy,Mining in NIT Rkl,Durgapur,Patna.If you go for the north eastern NIT's you can easily get CSE.

According to the category rank you have mentioned in the question you cannot get any of the NITs or IIITs with CSC ctream as per previous year's cut-offs but I would suggest you to sit for some state counselling because in some of the state government colleges you can get admission on such ranks.
Note that the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors.

It is slightly difficult to get seat in NITs in CSE with such rank. Based on 2019 round 7 cut off you may have chances of getting seat in CSE in
The above cut off is for OBC-NCL category.Cut off is subjected to change, it may increase or decrease slightly depending on number of candidates appeared. difficulty of exam and number of candidates appeared.

KMIT is a good college to choose for CSE/IT. As per reviews of the students who has already studied here, the faculty here is dedicated towards the quality of teaching, apart from studies you will get many trainings as well.
Talking about placements, it's good for cse branch. A good number of students are placed every year in companies like wipro, infosys etc and the highest package was around 10 lpa in the year 2019.
