see CSIR UGC NET conducts on five subjects or papers as follows:
(i) Chemical Sciences
(ii) Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences
(iii) Life Sciences
(iv) Mathematical Sciences
(v) Physical Sciences
there is no specific instructions given for choice of subjects. the general eligibility criteria is candidates must complete M.Sc or equivalent degree/ Integrated BS-MS/BS-4 years/BE/BTech/BPharma/MBBS securing at least 55% marks for General (UR) and OBC candidates and 50% for SC/ST, Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates.
so you may take subjects as per your subject combinations.

There are no issues with the class 10 Mathematics.
Many students nowadays crack the CSIR itself after there BSc. Now as per my analysis the CSIR NET exam usually have syllabus more about BSc and moderate about MSc. So if you have proper background then you can obviously crack CSIR NET.

Yeah! Without a PhD one can't be Assistant Professor in India with effectiveness from 2021.
NET will be conducted solely for phD admissions as well as a qualifying criterion for Non-Net phD students.
