Dairy
Hi there,
Both Dairy Technology and Food Technology have their own values and privileges. The main thing about choosing a course is largely depend on our aptitude. Dairy Technology comprises of the study of milk and milk products (their chemistry, technology, microbiology, engineering etc). But in the case of food technology, we focus on every food sources and systems (like cereals, meat, fish, dairy etc). Dairy technology is more a specialised course whereas food technology is broader course. If you wanna stick with dairy sector only, then Dairy technology will be the best course for you or else food technology has a advantage of being a broader course compared to dairy.

Dairy Technology is a science and engineering field that deals with the study of milk processing and its products. It is a part of food technology and processing industry that involves processing, packaging, distribution and transportation of various dairy products such as milk and ice-cream by using the science of biochemistry, bacteriology, and nutrition. The field of dairy technology basically uses “technology” to make dairy products hi-tech as well as useful.
There are different dairy technology courses available for candidates at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Candidates can choose to pursue a degree or diploma course in dairy technology. Some of the popular dairy technology courses include BTech, BSc, MTech, and MSc.
