Good evening ,
I am hoping that you are doing well in your field. As per your mentioned query , i would like to tell you that data science is quite difficult but not that much difficult. It is because of the often technical requirements for data science jobs , it can be more challenging to learn than other fields in technology. Getting a firm handle on such a wide variety of languages and application does present a rather steep learning curve.
I hope this will be helpful for you.
Revert back for further query.
Good luck!!

Dear student,
As per the current era bsc data science would be a better option if you compare with bsc forensic science because in today's world data is much more important than anybody's pan or aadhar card. If you have the proper data base then you can conquer anything in this world .
Whereas forensic science is much interesting and thrilling job . If you go to any criminal investigation then your role in investigation will be the most important one.
But if you want to earn money and thinking of a long term future then you should go for bsc data science.
Dear Student,
Sorry to inform you , But unfortunately no.. after 1st year in Maths , you can't get direct admission in 2nd year for another subject .
To get admission in B.Sc Data Science , you need to start again by enrolling in 1st year with fresh admission .
Or , you can also go for Engineering field with CSE in data Science Specialization . In that curriculum , you will get Maths also in some parts of your semesters

The best option for you will be BBA as it is a very good course and provided you pursue your degree from a good college you will be having a very good chance of getting a job after completing your degree , you can start your preparation side by side and attempt the examination after completing your degree .

Hope this information helps!!!
Thank you.
Yes, for sure! Most of the Data Science course in Post Graduation does not require a very heavy CS background. What they require is that how is your general aptitude and how strong is your mathematics background. So, if your maths is strong (linear algebra, calculus, probability, statistics etc.), there won't be a problem and you can easily switch your stream.
Hope I have answered your question. All the best!
