The college is ranked the best commerce college in Northern India according to a survey conducted by AC Nielsenorg- Marg. The NAAC has also awarded a Grade A to DAV College Chandigarh. Cadets of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Army Wing of the local DAV College have attended various national-level training camps. Camps are arranged on regular basis and desired people can pursue them. You need to be dedicated for this at the same time.

Based on reviews of students on careers360 . DAV college is an average college for BCA . It has most of facilities like hostels, cafeteria, library, sports etc. Academic section also have mixed reviews but for BCA many students reviewed it as good. Now average placement in this college for BCA is 2-3 lakhs per annum .

DAV college, PU chandigarh is affiliated to Punjab University, Chandigarh. It offers courses in undergraduate and post graduate courses like Bcom, bba, bda, etc.

BA in sociology is a three year full time graduation course divided into six semesters. In this you have to choose one subject sociology and other two subjects of your choice like physchology, political science, history etc.

Compulsory subjects are General English and History and culture of Punjab. Fees is around 25k. Admission is on the merit basis of 10+2 marks.
