I have completed the first year in M.A. Geography at Rajasthan University with distance mode now Im in the second year but this year I also enrolled for a B ed degree at regular mode with the same university. Is it legal?

Hello!

Yes, it is legal to pursue two degrees at a time. As per the guidelines under UGC (University Grants Commission), students can pursue two full time degrees simultaneously but under few criteria, like:

1- One course should be at regular mode and other at the distance mode.

2- Both course should be from UGC recognized institutions.

3- Both the course should be of same level.

4- This criteria does not apply to Phd Programs.

So, without any hesitation you continue your MA and BeD.

Wishing you all the best!!
