I got 410/720 meet 2018.would i geta BDS seat through in counselling in better college in all india quota or i get seat telangana state

hari krishna 11th May, 2018
Hi

It's different for different quota applied

If you are applying through 15%All India quota under general category for govt dental college, the cut off for neet-2017 was around 5500 rank which leads to approximate score of 520/720

However you can try through 85% state quota in domicle State ,mostly possible

I would the demand for BDS seat is now a days intimidated,so there are possibly many chances getting a seat with your score in your desired location.

What scope is there for a gen. category candidate of rajasthan who scored 403/720 in neet 2018 ?

hari krishna 11th May, 2018
Hi Sanjay
Don't worry there are plenty of chances in getting a seat for general category students especially in Rajasthan.

You should be qualified enough i.e basic score in Neet 2018 and you can avail your seat in your desired college through counselling sessions.

In Udaipur, Rajasthan there are plenty of colleges such as Geetanjali Dental & Research institute, pacific dental college,RR dental college,Darshan dental college etc.you can opt either any of them as they are reputed enough.

What is the starting salary of dentist

Sona 11th May, 2018
Hey. Its not that a fresher dentist cannot earn in India, dentists can earn very well in any part of the world but it all depends on your skill and confidence, its true that hospitals don't pay that much to dentists but you can also open up your own practice, and I have seen people earning 60-70k per month just from private practice. You can apply for government jobs like in National health mission where one can easily earn 30-40K without much headache. You can also go for contractual jobs in government hospitals which pays a pretty decent salary. Hope this helps. All the best

I want job after my degree in bds

hari krishna 11th May, 2018
Dear Anshu Soni,
You can never demand a job by quoting the statement "I want a job" , Dentistry is a noble profession and you have to maintain the strive for achieving it.

In recent years due to huge amount of saturation in field of dentistry in India, the payment for BDS graduates has been drastically reduced but so as no to lose hope ,there is relatively many opportunities for a "Good"dentists in the field.

If you are in need of good salary ,my opinion would be you should consider masters in specific branch i.e clinical or non clinical and keep continuing your efforts .
There is a saying "Something is better than nothing , Always"so,kindly don't get depressed patience and hardwork is all needed in one person life.

Dear Akash,

After the completion of the BDS course, the dental graduates are entitled to use the term Doctor before his or her name as the prefix Dr..
There are plenty of good jobs & higher study opportunities available after getting the degree in dentistry as a doctor.

The Job Profiles of the BDS may be the following:

The initial salary of a dentist may be the Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 30,000 per month. After getting the experience and good hands on in this field, the candidate may get the handsome salary as 4 to 6 lakh per annum.

without entrance exam we can take bds course ?

Dr. Manish Kumar Gupta 27th Mar, 2018

There might be some dental colleges, which are taking admission directly.

But in my opinion you should prepare for NEET UG entrance.

Because there is lots of opportunities in government colleges.

There is very much difference in fee of the colleges.

My advise is just try for preparation and it's depends on your state and Rank. Where you can easily get admission.

Don't do BDS from any private college.

You can try BHU and AMU also through NEET.

They are taking admission directly from NEET ranking

You can survey in villages and towns that will be very beneficial for your academic career.

You can easily get placement in any prestigious dental college, depends on your work and experience.

And you can also move towards out of India.
