Vellore Institute Of Technology, Vellore does not offer admission to second year B.Tech course through lateral entry. So you cannot get admission to second year B.Tech course through lateral entry after passing in Diploma in Electronics Engineering (Digital Electronics & Microprocessor). It offers admission to under Graduate B.Tech course (First year). And the candidates seeking admission to B.Tech course must have passed 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry in with minimum 55% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. For candidates belonging to SC/ST, Candidates hailing from Jammu and Kashmir/ Ladakh and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura need to score minimum 45% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

You can get admission in to any other institute offering admission to second year B.Tech through lateral entry. You must apply for admission separately. • Multiplexer is an electronic device which has several inputs and one output. A single input out of the many is chosen and then is forwarded to the output.

• Demultiplexer on the other hand is an electronic device having one input and several output. According to the instruction one of the many outputs are chosen for the program to be executed.
