Can i earn 1 lakh per month by being a doctor if yes kindly tell me the steps involved and I would like to be a pediatrician

Swapnali Datkhile 17th Jan, 2022

Yes you can,

Pediatrician salary in Government Of India ranges between 9 Lakhs to 17.3 Lakhs . This is an estimate based on salaries received from employees of Government Of India.

It totally depends where that pediatrician is working In government sector salary is limited usually 1 lac to 1.5 lac per month after few years ,which goes on increasing as per seniority.

In private sector MD Pediatric after completing 3 years of resident ship can start from 1.20 to 1.5 lac per month in private hospitals in places like Delhi .

After that they can have their private opd which has no limit for income it can vary from 30–40 thousand to lakhs per month. Usually a senior pediatrician are earning around 4 to 5 lac per month which varies from doctor to doctor.

Some of pedtriatrian Bihar practising in rural area running their small set up are earning more than 5 lac per month but they have to work full time like 24 hours , no life just work only. Depending upon their set up it can be more.

So for doctors including pediatric there is no fixed income it all depends on where r u working how much lucky you are in terms of patients it can vary minimum 1.5 lac to maximum 5,10 lac even more . It all depends on how much you work and how dedicated you are to your profession and some luck as well.

Thank you .

piyush singh 14th Jan, 2022

Hello Aspirant

Yes, you can pursue MBBS and become a doctor even after you have completed your GNM course.

You just would have to fill the application form for NEET UG and prepare in order to clear the cutoff for admission in a decent medical college. It will be same like an 12th passed student giving NEET UG, because there is no upper age limit to appear for NEET UG Exam. So, just give it a try and all the best.

Hello,

In order to become doctor you have to appear for NEET, for which  the eligibility criteria as follows-

Passed 10+2 from a recognized board with physics, chemistry, biology, and english as core subjects,

Secured PBC aggregate against respective category which is inclusive of theory and practical:

  • UR - 50%
  • SC/ST/OBC - 40%
  • PwD - 45%

As of now there is no upper age limit, the lower age limit is 17 years as on 31st December of the appearing year.

you certainly don't meet the eligibility criteria of NEET, and moreover till now there is no lateral entry introduced when it comes to medical science undergraduate courses if that's what you're enquiring about, hence you are not eligible to pursue MBBS/BDS/Ayush Courses for that matter,

Hey!

The question you are asking is very vague and is dependent on several factors such as the country in which you are working and operating in, the Institution you have passed out from, your grades, your placements, your work, and so many other factors. Also, it takes a lot of time to become renowned in this field. It's lots of hard work, efforts, dedication and consitency which results in a person becoming famous and renowned and earning such amounts of money.

In India, the average salary of a surgeon is 168333.33. A surgeon is in charge of a variety of tasks, including ensuring that surgery-related services are available at all times inside the hospital. A surgeon is also responsible for the surgical equipment's smooth, efficient, and cost-effective operation. It is the responsibility of the general surgeon to give and display effective clinical leadership, as well as to build support channels for exchanging best practises and promoting and guiding innovation in continuous perfusion development. A surgeon's role as a clinical expert inside the hospital entails disseminating specialised skills and information to all hospital specialties. In challenging and stressful conditions, a general surgeon must also deal with caretakers and direct patient interaction. When necessary, a general surgeon's responsibility is to conduct a local audit and study, ensuring that the findings are properly communicated and suggestions are followed. He or she is in charge of operating on humans and performing other operations that necessitate an operation in order to regulate the patients' physiological state.
