Actually Im totally confused I want to be a doctor but I cant go for mbbs bcoz we cant afford that much but I want to be a doctor nd Im thinking about BPT so I really want to know to be a physiotherapist is good carrier option.???

Manisha nayak 31st Aug, 2021

Hello student,

Given below are all details about BPT:-

SCOPE

In the health-care system, a physiotherapy profession can lead to a range of demanding and exciting employment. Specializations in geriatrics, cardiorespiratory, geriatrics, orthopaedics, and neurology are available to physiotherapists. You can also get a PhD and work in the field of research. Physiotherapy will have a broad reach in the future. There are several job options both in India and overseas.

ELIGIBILITY

The candidate must have passed the test held by the particular institutions/universities in order to be admitted to the physiotherapy programme. You must meet the following criteria in order to be admitted:

  • Should have reached the age of 17 years.
  • Should have received at least 50 percent in the 10+2 exams.
  • Plus two examinations in physics, chemistry, and biology are required.
  • A strong admission exam score is required.

CAREER

In this career, there is a lot of potential. You will first be referred to as a doctor, and your function will be that of a physiotherapist.

People in today's generation face a slew of muscular skeletal issues in their daily lives. Life is hectic, and we have become accustomed to automation. We used to suffer backache, sciatica, lumbago, and other problems since we didn't utilise our muscles' ability in our daily lives. A physiotherapist is a professional who assists in the treatment of such conditions. A physiotherapist can work as a health advisor, doctor, physical trainer, or sports coach.

After completing the course, you may pursue further education as an M.PT. or a PhD. It is required to obtain a bachelor's degree in order to work in hospitals, health organisations, or private practise. You can work for the Ministry of Sports, a stadium, a hospital, a health society, or as a freelancer. As a result of the high demand for this course in countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, and others, there is a strong chance to go overseas after completing it. Rehabilitation centres, industrial health units, schools, the military forces, and colleges are all possible places to work.

SALARY

The starting salary of a physiotherapist is determined by the college where he earned his degree and the firm where he will be employed. A physiotherapist's starting pay in India is between Rs. 2 and 2.5 lakh per year. However, depending on the firm, after acquiring experience and obtaining a higher degree, the pay might be increased up to 5 lakh.

Hope this helps!

Is good to take drop for neet? since my 75 % syllabus is incomplete and thinking of drop, but my parents siad not to take drop. They are saying to do Pharm D (Doctor of pharmacy ) which 6 years course. So should i take a drop or i should do Pharm D.?? Please Gide me ASAP

ayanmukherjee045 25th Aug, 2021

Dear aspirant,

As per my opinion this decision should completely rely on you because it's the question of your own career. You need to ask yourself will you be happy by doing B.pharma course or you want to crack neet and join a MBBS course.

If you are ok with your parents decision then go ahead but if not do what your heart says. Many of my friends also took drops for neet and they are placed at good places.

It is very important what you want or rather how badly you want to achieve your dream. Of course there will be some kind of disadvantages but once you achieve your dream those disadvantages would be overshadowed by your achievements.

Is it true that many civil servants are Engineers and Doctors?

pdwords Student Expert 24th Aug, 2021
Hello,

Yes, it's true as much as the syllabus of UPSC is more humanities oriented, the truth is the toppers come from as diverse backgrounds as that of medical/engineering/commerce/science, if you look at previous year toppers then yes , you will find many medical and engineering graduates, and the eligibility criteria itself states that candidates need to pass graduation in any discipline from a recognized University, candidates in final year too are eligible to apply, they are required to attain 21 years as on 1st August of the appearing year, and you will also find medical science and engineering as optional subjects, though in later case the choices may be limited, but eventually what matters for every successful candidate is their single minded focus, dedication and perseverance which help them sail through this tough exam.

iam studying b.com but I want to become a doctor how to tell me

lakshanaramasamy 21st Aug, 2021

Hi aspirants

If you from commerce background from 12th it is not possible to become doctor. If you are from science group at 12 then you can give a try to NEET.

It is possible for a B.Com student to complete his studies and then either study homeopathy or ayurveda and become a doctor. However, for the allopathy stream, i. e. to study MBBS, a student should have studied Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Biology at the Plus 2 level.

Hope this Helps

Good Luck!

I am a student of PCMB(bio is my optional subject in class 11 &12) .I expect to score 600+ in neet 2021.After getting addmission in a medical college will i face any problem for having bio as optional subject? (in Next exam eligibility criteria Or in registration in NMC as a doctor)

Sameek Das 27th Sep, 2021

Hello dear aspirant, hope you are doing well.

If you have studied biology for both the standards and have attended practicals and taken exams and have minimum of 50% of marks then irrespective of being an additional subject it will be counted valid. Had it been in 12th and not in 11th then it could've caused problem. Since you have taken in both standards it won't be a problem, just score above 50%.

Hope it helped.

cut off marks keeps changing every year depending upon various factors like number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the examination etc

After clearing these, finally you will have to go through your Medical Examination then finally you are selected for admission in AFMC.

Also,

To be eligible for AFMC mbbs,

********* you should pass all the subjects in your class 12th in your first attempt  with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology and must  get at least 60% in aggregate of PCB  i. e Physics, Chemistry and Biology  and at least 50% marks in English and 50% marks individually in each of PCB , also should have studied and passed maths in the class 10th.
