What are the most important things that I must practise, which may have greater chances to come in the drawing section in UCEED?

Ronak Gala Student Expert 29th Oct, 2019

Your verbal and non verbal logic is mostly checked by the UCEED entrance exam. Some other topics included are observational skills, attention to detail, basic knowledge about photography, a pretty good knowledge on Indian art and architecture and general awareness of design related topics. You could do the MCQs part of NIDs’ question paper to know how the exam works. It goes without saying that you should practice last year’s question papers to get a flavour of the exam.

Train yourself with some brain twisters to develop your own approach towards solving a problem, because you will need it during the exam.

And Lastly, TIME MANAGEMENT!!! And READING THE INSTRUCTIONS GIVEN ON THE QUESTION PAPER!!! Are two major contributing factors to doing well in the exams. Because answering smartly and dividing time accordingly is key.

This year the UCEED will have a drawing section. Will this drawing be the deciding factor for getting better marks and better rank?

Ronak Gala Student Expert 29th Oct, 2019

Yes drawing section has been added in THE UCEED 2020 exam in the notice related by IIT BOMBAY. There will be 1 question from the drawing section which will carry 60 marks so yes it obviously can play a role of deciding factor in a student's performance. Negative marking is also introduced from this year.

iam preparing for jee paper2 how many marks that i have to score to get a seat in best nits and iam very poor in drawing and good in arthematic i belongs obc

Hello Sonu,
NIT,  Warangal doesn't offer B.arch course, however, NIT, Trichy does offer B.arch.Considering previous cut off trends you need to get a rank below 300 to get seat in NIT, Trichy. JEE mains paper 2 consists of
  • Mathematics
  • General aptitude
  • Plannig/Drawing skills.

An architecture must possess creativity skills, numerical ability, critical thinking, general awareness, imagination, communication skills and drawing skills. As you are saying that you are weat at drawing it maybe hard for you to study this course.Do not be discouraged, if you are really interested in architecture you need to develop the above skills.
And about exam preparation go through the syllabus once and see previous years papers, practice the questions and give mock tests.
I hope this is helpful to you.
