Hello,
calculating your best 4 marks for DU is very important. The Best 4 concept includes the calculation of the marks secured in the top 4 subjects. Amongst the marks obtained in all the subjects in the 12th standard mark sheet, the best 4 is taken to calculate the average. The marks obtained are added and then divided by 4.
Your best 4 will include,
1. One language(core, functional, elective). 2. Marks of the subject in which admission is to be taken (eg. If history Hons is to be taken, history should be the subject included in Best 4). 3. Stream change leads to deduction of the percentile. 4. Two other List A elective/academic subjects 5. 70% of theory marks and 30% practical marks in all subjects is optimum.
Therefore yes, you can mention Hindi as an elective.

Hello Anshikij,
The IPU CET BJMC 2020 is an entrance exam conducted for admission in the colleges offering Bachelors in Journalism and Mass Communication course which is of 3 years. Most of the Delhi universities having this course take admission based on IPU CET BJMC score. However, in Delhi University if you want to apply for the above course then your IPU CET BJMC marks will be considered. If you are applying for any other course in DU, then your admission will be based on merit and best out of 4 subjects.
Hello there,
P.E. is taken as only academic subject but cannot be used in 'best of four" concept for example if you are you are looking forward to taking admission in programming or honours subjects unless it is physical education(Hons.). For honours in PE, PE is counted as one of the subjects from best of 4.
The four subjects the university considers when calculating the best four marks are: P+C+M/B+ english (note english is always counted in your B.O.F) if you are a commerce or arts student then
The University of Delhi, informally known as Delhi University, is a collegiate public central university, located in New Delhi, India. It was founded in 1922 by an Act of the Central Legislative Assembly.
The exact DU cutoff dates 2020 will be known shortly, as and when they will be announced by the DU authorities. Candidates can check the DU 2020 cutoff lists separately for commerce, science and arts courses. The release of DU cut off 2020 has been delayed this year due to COVID-19 pandemic.
Delhi University cut off 2020 will be the marks (in terms of percentage) that are must for the registered candidates to secure in class 12th if they wish to grab a seat in UG courses through DU 2020 admission process.
DU cutoff marks 2020 will be calculated using the best of four subjects of candidates in class 12th. Based on the best of four subjects of 12th, the DU admission cut off is decided.

Hello Aspirant,
It seems that you are asking about the change in the cut-off percentage for different colleges from General category to Gen-EWS category, so there is no much difference as one is General category and other is sub-category of General category so there are very minute cut-off variation in both the categories when compared from each other.
If cut-off for General category goes about 95% then for Gen-EWS category it goes around 94-95%, so this is almost equal.
You can have detailed information about the cut-offs of Delhi University from the link given below :-
