I am interested in economics. So, Bsc Hons in economics with research from xim university bhubaneswar new campus, will be tough for humanities students ???

Aryan 28th Jun, 2025

Hi dear candidate,

If you are from humanities stream, then B.Sc with Economics Hons is generally not available for them as it is given to the students who had PCM in 12th class. However, if XIM university provides it to humanities students as well then, it should not be a problem as many students also opt for economics with humanities also and it is a theory and statistics subject. It completely depends on your dedication and preparation to make it easy for you.

I have gained 31 marks in ap pgcet in MA economics can I get seat at this university as I belong to ST category

harsh singh 26th Jun, 2025

With 31 marks in AP PGCET (MA Economics) and ST category, you're eligible but chances for a seat in top/state universities are very low.

You can try in counselling rounds and also explore private colleges or backup options.

Child in gr 10 ICSE. subject: Maths, Eco, History, Geo, AI, French, English. leaning towards Economics, History, wants to do law. Is it advisable to leave Maths in Grade 11?

nigamaastha1 23rd Jun, 2025

Yes, its completely okay to leave maths in grade 11 if you wan to persue law in future. Especially if you are aiming fo 5 years inegrated law courses like ; BA LLB, BBA LLB,etc after 12th. Law enterance exams (like CLAT, AILET, SLAT, MHCET law) do not require maths at an advanced level. Most of them include basic quantitative aptitude, upto class 10 level only. I hope this will help you out.

Ayan Chakraborty 13th Jun, 2025

Hey there! If you're looking for the DUPGET MA Economics question papers for 2023 and 2024, here’s what you can do. DUPGET, or the Dibrugarh University Post Graduate Entrance Test, is conducted by Dibrugarh University for admission to various postgraduate programs, including MA in Economics. These question papers are great for preparation, giving you a clear idea of the exam pattern and question types.

Where to Find Them
Research suggests you can find these question papers on AglaSem’s website at AglaSem DUPGET (https://admission.aglasem.com/dupget/) . Look for the "Previous Year Question Papers" section, but you might need to log in to download them. If they’re not available there, try the official Dibrugarh University website at Dibrugarh University (https://dibru.ac.in/) , though they might not have them publicly listed yet.

What to Do If Not Found
If you can’t find them online, it’s possible they’re recent and not uploaded yet. In that case, consider reaching out to Dibrugarh University directly or checking with fellow students who appeared for the exam. Good luck with your preparation!

master of arts in economics holders can take admission to b.com is there any possibility?

harsh singh 9th Jun, 2025

Generally, Master of Arts (MA) in Economics holders cannot directly take admission in B.Com, because B.Com is an undergraduate course meant for students who haven’t completed a bachelor’s degree yet.

However, if you want to study commerce subjects after MA Economics, you can consider

M.Com (Master of Commerce), which is a postgraduate course suitable after MA.

Some universities may allow lateral entry into the second year of B.Com, but this is rare and depends on the institution’s rules.

Is there any placement for ba economics students in ravenshaw college?

Kishan Bhakat 1st Jun, 2025

hi,

Yes, Ravenshaw University does have a placement cell, and it works to support students from all departments, including BA Economics. However, placements for Economics specifically may not be as strong as those for technical courses like Computer Science or IT. Some students have mentioned that companies do come for placements, but not always directly for BA Economics roles.

Still, students can participate in career guidance programs, skill-building workshops, and job fairs organized by the university. If you're proactive, build a strong resume, and make use of internships and networking, you can definitely find good opportunities after graduation.

Is there any placement for ba economics students in ravenshaw college?

Samriddha Pal 1st Jun, 2025

Hello,

If you're planning to pursue a BA in Economics at Ravenshaw University, it's a great choice for building a strong academic foundation in the subject. While the college may not have a highly structured placement drive like engineering or management institutes, many students have carved successful paths through the support of the Career Counseling Cell and the Economics Department. You'll find opportunities to attend seminars, workshops, and skill development sessions that prepare you for competitive exams, higher studies like MA or MBA, and jobs in areas such as banking, research, public policy, and NGOs. If you're proactive, you can also seek internships during your course, which can really boost your profile. The campus has a vibrant academic atmosphere, so with consistent effort and initiative, you can definitely open up several promising career avenues after your graduation.

Hope this helps. All the best!
