I had Mathematics from 12th commerce. But my subjects for CUET are : English , Economics , Business and Accounts. Am I eligible to pursue BBA / BMS from SSCBS , or from any DUs or from any central university ?

Anishka Arya 17th Apr, 2025

Yes, u r eligible for BBA/BMS programs through CUET at SSCBS  other DU colleges, and many Central Universities nd if u didn’t choose Mathematics as a CUET subject

For BMS, BBA in DU (including SSCBS), t eligibility is:

Required CUET subjects (as per DU norms):

  • Section I : English

  • Section II : Any two from the list – you chose Economics and Business Studies, which is accepted.

  • Section III : Mandatory

u had Math in 12th, u satisfy t eligibility requirement for BBA/BMS at DU (because some programs require Maths in 12th, not in CUET necessarily). let m know if u need any help ................THANKU!!!

I had maths in my 12th class as an additional subject ( Im from commerce stream) . But I chose English , Accounts , Economics and Business Studies as my subjects for CUET Exam 2025 . Am I eligible to pursue BMS from SSCBS or from DU ?

Prachi Kumari 16th Apr, 2025

Hey Bhawna !

Yes, you are eligible to pursue BMS (Bachelor of Management Studies) at SSCBS or Delhi University (DU), as long as you meet the specific eligibility requirements for the course.

For BMS, DU typically looks at your best of four subjects, including English and any other subjects from your 12th grade. Since you have chosen relevant subjects like Accounts, Economics, and Business Studies, you should be fine.

Just make sure to check the specific admission guidelines for CUET 2025 , as universities may have subject-specific requirements.

Hope it helps !

I am a arts student and my subjects were Political science, Economics, English, Physical education and Punjabi...and i want to pursue my career in medical line...is it possible to study medical courses after arts with these subjects. If yes, can you suggest me some courses, diplomas and degrees. Thx

Rubina Naseer 4th Apr, 2025

Pursuing a career in the medical field after Arts is generally not possible for traditional MBBS, BDS, or paramedical courses that require Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) at the 10+2 level.

However, here are some alternate options in the healthcare/medical-related field for Arts students:

  • B.A. in Psychology → leads to clinical psychology or counselling.

  • Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) → careers in medical social work.

  • Healthcare Management or Hospital Administration courses.

  • Medical Transcription , Health Technician , or Nursing Assistant diplomas (eligibility varies).

  • Pharmacy Assistant or Nutrition and Dietetics short-term courses (some allow non-science backgrounds).

To enter core medical fields, you'd need to reappear for Class 12 with PCB subjects . Can I be a doctor after taking arts in 12? (https://www.quora.com/Can-I-be-a-doctor-after-taking-arts-in-12)
