my home state is bihar and category obc ncl and my jee main rank 53457 can i get admission in iiit Bhagalpur with cs or ec branch

Satvik 3rd Oct, 2024

Hi

hope you doing well

Your chances of getting admission into IIIT Bhagalpur in either the CSE or ECE branch with a JEE Main rank of 53,457 and OBC-NCL category, are moderate.

IIIT Bhagalpur is a relatively newer IIIT, so the cutoffs are generally lower compared to older IIITs, but CSE and ECE tend to have higher competition.

Being from Bihar, you have an advantage in the home state quota, which can lower the cutoff for you.

Your category also provides some relaxation in the cutoffs compared to the general category.

CSE : This is the most competitive branch. You might be on the borderline depending on how the cutoffs trend this year, but securing CSE could be tough.

ECE : You might have a better chance for ECE as its cutoffs are usually a bit lower than CSE.

I recommend participating in the JoSAA counseling process and keeping an eye on the opening and closing ranks of previous years for IIIT Bhagalpur

my cut off is 176 in which college I get the seat for EC course for MBC

JONAKEE 11th Jun, 2025

With a cutoff of 176 and coming under the MBC category, you have a fair chance of getting into some good colleges for the ECE course. Based on previous trends in TNEA counselling, you might get a seat in colleges like Government College of Technology in Coimbatore, Government College of Engineering in Salem, or the one in Tirunelveli. These are well-known government colleges where ECE is usually available around your range for MBC candidates.

If those are not available or if you are looking closer to Chennai, you might still have the option of joining strong self-financing colleges like Sri Sairam Engineering College, RMK, RMD, Panimalar, or Easwari. These colleges also have good teaching and placement support for ECE students.

Since cutoffs can vary each year depending on the number of students applying and the overall demand, nothing is fully guaranteed, but your chances are definitely strong for both government and top private colleges in Tamil Nadu. If you prefer a specific location, that can also help narrow things down

Dear Sir, I am from Bihar. My Final Rank in JEE mains in general category is 43976 & EWS Rank is 7064. Can I get admission in NIT in top Branches i.e. CSE, EC, EEE etc.

Lalit Kumar 3rd Dec, 2024

Dear

According to the information based on the JEE Main 2024 cutoffs, your rank of 43976 in the General category and 7064 in the EWS category might make it challenging to secure a top branch in NITs, especially for highly sought-after branches like Computer Science and Electronics & Communication Engineering.

However, there are still possibilities! It would be helpful to know which NIT and branch you're aiming for, as cutoffs can vary significantly between institutions and programs.

For finding the best college you deserve use College predictor tool.

Thanks.
