Anirudh Singh 25th Dec, 2020

Hi.

It is always recommended that you share your rank as well as category and domicile information so that we can provide an accurate answers to your question. However, I can only estimate your rank to be in the range of 30000-40000 and assuming GEN Category you can get ECE in colleges such as:

  • Sinhgad College of Engineering, Pune
  • Ramrao Adik Institute of Technology, Navi Mumbai
  • All India Shri Shivaji Memorial Society's Institute of Information Technology, Pune

You can use College Predictor tool to further refine your search.

If you have a further specific query please feel free to comment.

Best of Luck.

I have received IIIT Bhubaneswar (Electronics and telecommunication) engineering and also Lnmiit jaipur (Electronics and communication) engineering. Which one is best for my career?

Karam Vir 23rd Nov, 2020

Hi,

IIIT Bhubaneswar is a public institution while LNMIIT Jaipur is a private institute. Being it so, LNMIIT ,Jaipur has a NAAC AAA+ Accreditation while IIIT Bhubaneswar has accreditation of AAA.  The median salary package of IIIT Bhubaneswar is Rs. 3.60 lakhs per annum and a placement record of 71% in Electronics and Telecommunications branch while the median package ranges for Rs. 8-9 lakhs per annum in LNMIIT. The NIRF ranking of LNMIIT, Jaipur is 194th and IIIT Bhubaneswar has not placed at any top ranks yet.

So, LNMIIT Jaipur would be a better choice.

Read more about both the institutes and reviews over here:

if i dont know coding before college and dont want to do in college ,can i take electronics and telecommunication engineering ?

madhur 5th Oct, 2020
Hello there,
I would like to inform you that if you haven't done any coding in school then it's totally normal.
You can join a short course for coding language and learn the basics.
Moreover since the course in first year is same for all branches in most of the universities , therefore they do teach you a coding language which is compulsory to do .
So it's totally your choice to select the steam of your choice as per your preference that weather you want a software company job or not.

I hope this helps.

Madhur

Do electronics and telecommunication engineering have placements ?

RAJENDRA KUMAR NATHIPAM 26th Nov, 2019

Hii Karishma,

Definitely Electronics and telecommunication engineering have placements when you did your graduation in top universities like IIT's and NIT's.

Example Samsung company hire Electronic students from these top universities.

If you are good in academics and have good core knowledge you can crack interviews outside also.

If you score good marks in GATE  you are selected in Public sector units(PSU's).

If you want to do graduation in these streams concentrate mainly on GATE because you get more job opportunities.
