Electronics Engineering
Hello there,
The salary trends in every college vary every year because it depends upon the candidate's worth, technical & non-technical skills, openings in company, number of candidates applying for the same job etc..,.
According to the previous trends the highest package for domains like power electronics and power system were in a range of 7lacs - 21lacs.
In the covid times the variations might be high.

Hi
You can definitely go for btec mechatronics after completing your diploma in electronic engineering since these are all interdisciplinary streams and mechatronics is a combination of mechanical, electrical, telecommunications, control and computer engineering. The eligibility criteria for various institutions may differ. So check out the eligibility requirements for the institution you are applying to. You can use the link given below to get a list of institutions offering btec in mechatronics.

Hope the information is helpful to you.
Hi,
Electronics and Communication (E&C) (Subbranch of EEE) Engineering is best because ECE includes industrial processes and techniques of industrial automation. For robotics you need to have knowledge about C language and basics of electronics thus, ECE includes more communication part like Mobile communication, Satellite communication etc. Though communication also plays vital role in transferring data.
Other thing is that none of the single branch will include Robotics as individual subject in curriculum. May be in the above branches like EEE, EIE, CSE, Mech will include Robotics and Automation as a subject but it is not a robotics which is a thinking. It is industrial robotics.
If you are interested in Robotic you can either pursue it for Masters after completing your B-tech/B.E in any of above mentioned branches. Other thing is you can learn Robotics by doing projects.
I would suggest you to take up electronics and communication engineering (ECE)
ECE will not only help you with robotics but also it will open several opportunities for you in future. It will help you with electronic circuits knowledge, communication methods and scheme, interconnection of electronics with communication systems, wireless devices, robotics, control systems etc. Core companies also have opening for ECE.
So you can go with ECE.
Hope this helps. All the best
B.E in Electronics Engineering is such a branch which deals with designing of Electrical devices, circuits etc. It is a part of Electrical Engineering , you will have a bright future ahead if you choose this subject. The career opportunities are like :
Electronics technologist
Test engineer
Project engineer
Product designer
Now coming to Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering courses helps you to gather knowledge about Basic Electronics, microprocessors etc. It also has a vast career score but it would be better if you choose Electronics Engineering over ECE.

Good luck!!
Yeah! in BTech you can change your branch provided you have to appear for the lateral entry examination which is essentially an entrance exam for diploma student organized by the state government for providing admission directly to the 2nd year of BTech. Now if you wish to change your trade to a more preferable course such as CSE/IT then you need to score good in the lateral entry examination as the competition for this trades are quite high.

I hope this answer helps. All the very best for your future endeavors!
Electronics engineering from VIT is better than mechanical engineering from DTU. Top recruiting companies here are Infosys, L&T, TCS and many more. More than 70% of the students get placed in on-campus internships. Comparingly 65% students of mechanical branch from DTU also get placed. Top recruiters companies here are samsung, payTm, ITC, maruti, etc.
According to the rank and other details given by you , they are low chances of getting the seat in NIT Surathkal as according to the previous cut-off ranks as you prefered for some branches.
You can even try the below colleges, for the seat according to your rank :
For more details of cut-off rank and many more , then follow the JEE- MAINS predictor tool :

This is very difficult to predict which college you will get because cut off keeps changing every year depending upon a number of factors like
--------) number of students that appeared in the WBJEE exam
--------)difficulty level of the WBJEE examination
--------)Kind of marks obtained by the students in the WBJEE exam
--------) number of students from different categories
--------) seats available for different branches etc
But yes,
With your 1831 rank , considering you from general category,
On the basis of analysis of past years wbjee cut off data , you have low chances in Jadavpur University in branches asked by you or any branch
For example,
In 2019 , in 3rd round of wbjee, 1417 GMR rank for general category was the closing/last rank for Jadavpur University and it was for Architecture
You have chances in colleges like :-
University Of Calcutta:-Instrumentation Engineering/Instrumentation & Electronics Engineering-2251
Jalpaiguri Goverment Engineering College- computer science:-4015
Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University Of Technology, computer science:-2173
And many more
As per round 3 , 2019 cut off available at Official website :- https://admissions.nic.in/wbjeebcouns2019/wbjeebcouns2019/orcr/PrevYearORCR.aspx
