No, you must complete 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry Biology/ Mathematics. With just 11 th standard from PCB is not sufficient to study or become Genetic Engineering. Mostly you require to write entrance exam to get admission into Genetic Engineering. From the doctor side the comparisons are primary care & specialist. If you want to become an primary doc you have to spend four yrs and graduate with avg debt. Then you'll have to spend 3 to 4 yrs in residence prior.

For avg specialist four of medical skl. If you want to go into orthopedic surgery it will take 5 yrs, 6yrs for cardiology and 7 yrs for neurosurgery.

In engineering you can start immediately after graduation with starting salary of 1 lakh. And it is not possible to calculate exact living expenses for engineers and doctors.
