I got 44 percentile in jee main which college would I get ?

Sowmya Konkala 21st Feb, 2021

Hello aspirant,

According to https://www.google.com/amp/s/engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile/amp which gives analysis about marks vs percentile with previous year analysis 44 percentile would fetch you marks around 21-30 on 300.As you did not mention your category considering you as Gen student, you did not qualify the exam.according to 2020 cutoff 90 percentile is the cutoff for Gen category student and you fetching 44 means you did not qualify the exam.just qualifing the exam doesn't fetch you seat because the seat cutoff will be different to colleges.you need minimum of 94+percentile for Gen category to fetch seat in some college and to fetch seat in better colleges you need a really good percentile above 97-98+.for more information about the marks vs percentile vs rank analysis you can refer to: https://www.google.com/amp/s/engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile/amp to improve your score in jeemain you can refer to: https://learn.careers360.com/knockout-jee-main-april/

Hope this helps,

Thankyou.

If you haven't started your preparation till now then it will be difficult to crack the exam. Bitsat is easier than jee but requires consistency. First go through the syllabus and plan your tine table such that you give proper attention to all tye subjects. I would advice you to solve previous years question papers to increase your score.

Is there any college available for 2020 admissions

Ayush 12th Jan, 2021

Hello Candidate,

Most of the entrance examinations are over for the year 2020 and their counselling process is almost done and admissions have started for the new batches, but still there are some colleges such as private Institute which are offering admission in different degree courses all over the country in various streams.

You need to go through the college websites in order to know that in which branch or streams have the admissions are open and you can enroll subsequently in those programs.

Have a good day.

Hi I have enrolled myself for direct second year engineering admission and as we all know it is too much delayed and 3 sem is almost about to end. So my question is After admission will direct second year student need to give 3 sem? or they will be promoted to 4 sem?

Ayush 11th Jan, 2021

Hello candidate,

Different colleges and institutes have different rules and follow different time tables for completion of their semester examinations, so it pretty much depends on the institute in which you have enrolled that whether they will take you to the third semester or directly to the fourth semester.

If the Institute classes are going on currently in the third semester, then its automatic that they will enroll you in the same class and you will have to give the third semester examination in order to get promoted to the 4th sem.

Hope it helps you.

how to calculate cutoff for lateral engineering admission in tamilnadu

Uttara 25th Dec, 2020

Hello,

It is difficult to calculate the exact cutoff for lateral admission as the cutoffs depend on various factors like vacancy of seats difficult of paper/exam.But for a rough estimation you can view the previous year cutoffs as they let you know some ideas about what the cutoffs can be but they are variable and can change.

shankhalikamallick 11th Dec, 2020

Hi Aspirant!

According to your statement, if you are a general category student you don't require a caste certificate. At the time of reporting, you will have to produce your EWS certificate along with your income certicate details. You will be required to produce a number of documents based on the institution you are taking admission in second year.

Is non creamy layer essential for engineering admission my category is open???

Shivam Khare 10th Dec, 2020

Hello Dear Student,

No, It's not essential, Admission in Engineering Courses are open to each and every category Students.

But OBC Non Creamy layer Students have some Reservation on the number of Seats of Engineering Courses, the policy of Reservation varies State to State.

So Cut off marks are low for OBC Non Creamy layer Students as compared to Open Category Students.

But If you have Scored Good Marks in Open Category then you will get a Seat for Sure in any Engineering College.

If you can comment down the name of your State or exam in which you have appeared for Engineering Admission then I will provide you more details.

All the Best
