Engineering and technology
I don't know which exam you are talking about. But in general, if the phase-2 isn't compulsory then your rank will not get tampered. For this case, if you attempt the phase-2 then the best of the two phases will be taken as your final results. Now if the phase-2 is compulsory then your rank may get reduced.
I hope my answer helps. All the very best for your future endeavors!
Hi aspirant,
It is almost impossible for you to get computer science and engineering at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore with the mentioned rank. Due to tough competition and less number of seats, the cutoff is very high for the CSE course. Even the cutoff for state quota of SC/ST domicile is closed at 10k rank.
You can get detailed cutoffs at https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/aeee-cutoff
Hope it helps!!
Greetings of the day dear aspirant
The cut-off trends keeps changing every year and it depends on the number of students attempting the exam, difficulty level, number of available seats, etc. With marks of 179, you can secure a CSE seat in Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar (SSN) College of Engineering in Kalavakkam as the closing marks for CSE branch was 167.25 in the year 2018 for SC Category candidate. So, just apply to their counselling process and you'll easily secure seat. Whereas, its not possible to secure a CSE seat at PSG College as the closing marks for the same was 190.25 for SC category in the year 2017.
