Yes it is a private unaided college which offers various courses like Engineering,Nursing,Pharmacy etc.It also includes some basic dental courses.It is a good college known for its wide courses availability and also reliable infrastructure.But it is nit government or semi government it comes under private.

The eligiblity criteria for UPSC exam is that The candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years (for the General category candidate) on 1 August of the year of examination. Prescribed age limits vary with respect to caste reservations. The certificate eligiblity says that The candidate must hold a degree from Government recognised Universities or possess an equivalent qualification.

The college is good in terms of placement and faculties.Almost 90 percent of student gets placed.There are lots of internships opportunities and placements are offered by renowned companies like HCL,TCS etc.The average salary package offered is about 4.5 LPA, and the highest salary package offered is 12 LPA.Other companies that comes are Goldman Sachs, TCS, Wipro, Accenture, etc.

see you did not mention about the scholarship name, generally in most of the scholarship criteria freshly registered candidates are eligible. so if you have newly registered for b.tech course after give the the year gap, you are eligible for the scholarship. however if this is an institutional scholarship scheme or state wise or central scholarship it would be best to inquire to college authority.
