hi, I have got NTA score 58 in the jee main exam appeared on Feb 25, I am from SC category, will I get a chance of admission in NIT colleges

Subhrajit Mukherjee 8th Mar, 2021
If you have given the exam in 25 Feb Shift 1 then your expected percentile is 84.33-87.45 & if you have attempted it in shift 2 then your expected percentile is 81.13-84.39.

Now assuming the maximum percentile of the above range you have a predictive overall rank of :

Shift-1: 1,28,386-1,44,325
Shift-2: 1,59,690-1,79,515

Now if you are SC and want to apply for Home state quota NIT then you have a good chance of getting a seat in core branches of NIT like Mechanical, Civil etc. It can be hard for you for the branches like CSE.

For JEE Mains 2021 rank predictor you can visit the link provided below:

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor

**I have considered here both the shifts since you don't specify your shift for JEE MAINS 2021 on 25th February,2021.

I hope my answer helps. All the very best for your future endeavors!

I m getting 95.32%le for 155 marks in jee main feb 24th 1st .I m very depressed for my poor result I belongs to general category. What will be my expected rank .

Shrishty sahu 8th Mar, 2021

Dear student,

Don't be depressed, you really did well, you still have a chance to get into good colleges. According to the previous years trends the corresponding rank for this percentile would be around 35,000- 45,000. However these estimations are based on the previous years records and may change from year to year as they depend on various factors like difficulty of the examination, number of students that attempted the examination, etc.

I got nta score total 59.2278952 in Feb 26 th 1st shift what is thethe my percentile and what I have to do to score good marks these are very shame full marks to me... according to my hardwork

Anurag Khanna 9th Mar, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

See NTA score is also called as percentile, both are the same things. If we go through the analysis of marks Vs Percentile Vs rank for JEE-Main 2020 then according to the percentile/ NTA score mentioned by you in the question your rank is expected to be in the range of 417108 - 468890, you can check out marks Vs ranks Vs Percentile from the link given below :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile

Or

You can also use JEE-Main Rank Predictor to predict your rank :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor

To have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon your marks, category, and state you can use JEE-Main College Predictor:-

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

See If you are done with your syllabus of JEE-Main 2021 then solving Previous Year Questions, different Mock tests and sample papers is the best practice to get the thorough preparation of JEE-Main or any other competitive examination, so what I would recommend you is just solve one paper in a day in the fixed time of Three hours and don't go for next paper until you clear all your doubts of previous paper so the concepts will be cleared to you. You can download different previous year's question papers and sample papers of JEE-Main from the link given below :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-sample-papers

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-question-paper

You can also check out our JEE-Main Learner's program which  includes the full length Mock test series  and you check out this from the link given below :-

https://learn.careers360.com/knockout-jee-main-april/?product=27

NTA has also given the facility for mock test which you can give from the link given below :-

https://nta.ac.in/Quiz

As we know that now the aspirants are facing their last time preparation before JEE-Main examination so now the solving papers should be the main priority because at this point of time reading of full concepts and chapters won't be the wise strategy so just be focused on solving papers and some important chapters which have more weightage as compare to that of others and for your reference I have mentioned those chapters :-

@Physics

I am from general category. I got 87.8 percentile in February 2021. is this sufficient for nit or best engineering college.

Vibhanshu 8th Mar, 2021

Hi,

It is tough to say because the analysis and also cutoffs change every year due to many factors like total students appearing for exam, difficulty level of paper etc. Based on previous year analysis, your marks would be around 61-70 and based on that score, getting a NIT or a best engineering college is very tough, given that you are from general category.

My percentile in JEE mains Feb2021 is 54. I am belong to OBC category. Can I have chance to get into jee advance or into NIT?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 8th Mar, 2021

Hi

I am extremely sorry to tell you dear but with 54 percentile you hold very low chance to be eligible for JEE advanced and to eligible for admission in NITs.

This is because,

With 54 percentile being from OBC your chances of qualifying JEE mains 2021 is very very low but to be eligible for JEE advanced and admission in NITs is qualifying JEE main is mandatory.

For reference,

JEE mains 2021 expected qualifying  CUT OFF percentile is given below for different categories on the basis of past year trends :

.                  .  JEE      MAIN CUT   OFF    PERCENTILE

Category jeemain2020 jeemain2021 expected off

General :-     90.3765335                 90-95

GEN-EWS :-  70.2435518                  70 -75

OBC-NCL :-  72.8887969                   70 -75

SC     :-           50.1760245                  50 -55

ST :-                39.0696101                  40 - 45

PwD :-            0.0618524                      1- 2

You can check the same at our page the link is provided below

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff

So, I would suggest you focus on your preparation for remaining sessions of jee main so that you can improve your score   ,  go through chapters , practise questions and then revise them, go through mock test paper sample papers and previous year question papers as it will let you know your preparation level and and weak areas so that you can work on them and perform well in your examination. To help you in your application you can use our jee main knockout for which link is provided below

https://learn.careers360.com/knockout-jee-main-april/

Though , you may not qualify JEE main qualifying cut off  with mentioned percentile score but you can still get into Engineering College as there are many state which accept JEE main  for state level counselling and also private Engineering College accept jee main,so to check your chances for those you can use our college predictor for which link is provided below

Vibhanshu 8th Mar, 2021

Hi,

It is tough to say because the analysis and also cutoffs change every year due to many factors like total students appearing for exam, difficulty level of paper etc. Based on previous year analysis, your CRL ranking would be round 70000-80000. However, it would change if you have a category would we different.

my score is 85.11. what is my percentile

Ashish Kumar Verma 8th Mar, 2021

Hello Dear,

On this marks your percentile must be between 93.47 - 94.74 and general rank between 60147 - 48371. https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile

You can check some of the cutoff of the colleges in the list below:

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff

But as per my opinion you should wait for the counselling.

But as you know the cutoff changes every years because it depends upon the number of seats available, the difficulty level of paper and number of candidates writing the examination hence varies every year depending on these factors. It also depends on home state and other state as you have not mentioned your home state. You can check out your rank on the basis of your score from the below link.
