Can I become a Physicist after B-tech in engineering physics. If yes, what are the steps I had to follow to become so. Thanks
Hello,
After completing your BTech, you can take the JAM or JEST physics examinations. After passing JAM, you can apply for an MSc at IIT. You will be eligible for interviews for integrated PhD programmes in research institutes if you pass JEST.
These examinations can also be used to apply for integrated PhD programmes in IISERs.
After completing BTech, many people have gone on to become great theoretical physicists.
It is a myth that Engineers cannot become physicists. All you need is a passion for the topic and the willingness to put in the effort to master higher maths.
Hope it helped
All the best
DTU engineering physics offers tech and coding placements? If I start coding from very first year, can I grab a good on campus placement?
Hello Aspirant
hope you doing fine and great
As per you query, I would glad to aware you that opportunities of tech placements are also given to enginerring physics students, one student last year grabbed 24 lakhs package while others get 3-4 lakhs in mass recuriting companies . So yes you can grab good package in some product based company but you need to work very very hard on your coding skills, problem-solving,projects and core subjects
Hope you found this answer helpful. Good luck for your future
How are the placements of Engineering Physics in DTU? I am interested in coding, will companies allow to sit in their placement rounds for EP students?
hi,
see engineering physics is a research oriented field, majority of the students opt for masters after completing b.tech in engineering physics. however if you want to get placed in software engineering/ analytics company you need to work hard and study apart from your college syllabus. there is many mncs like mcs, infosys, ibm hires candidates for software engineer role irrespective of branch.
since dtu placement record is good you will get ample opportunity to showcase your skills. so beside college exam preparation learn top notch technology ,coding, participate in tech fest, make projects to add credit points in your resume.
after completing btech in engineering physics can i join Indian army by giving TGC ezam. I am eligible for tGC ezam
Hi aspirants
yes for sure . After completing any Engineering degree people can write TGC exam.
Eligibility of the candidate must be in the age between of 20 years to 27 years . Candidates who passed the Engineering Degree course or in the final year of Engineering Degree course are eligible to apply to TGC exam. the candidate should be unmarried.
Selection Process is based on Psychological Aptitude Test and SSB Interview and Medical Examination .

what should I choose btect biotechnology or engineering physics at dtu.
Hey,
B.TECH Biotechnology deals with using technological principles in the biological or living systems. It is the integration of both biological sciences and technological world. You can know more about B.TECH Biotechnology in detail over here: https://dqxeclau.top/courses/b-tech-in-biotechnology
Whereas, if we come to Engineering Physics, it is for those candidates who are interested both in research as well as engineering field. You can get to know some of the new and allied fields of Physics along with concepts of engineering. Know more here: https://dqxeclau.top/courses/engineering-physics-course
As, now, you can see, B.TECH in Biotechnology is more focused towards using technology for Biological sciences while Engineering physics deals with physics aspects. So, you can choose any of the course, between them, by seeing your area of interest. Both of these courses offers a good exposure an note that, you can only o good in a particular field, if you are really interested in it. So, choose based on your interest and future prospect of what you want to do further.
