The total number of seats for Computer Science & Engineering at different IITs and ISM is 923 seats. Total Computer science seats in national institute of technology colleges. In NIT'S , there are almost 50 seats at each NIT college for B. TECH in computer engineering . There are 31 NIT'S in India , so total seats all over india is 1550.

Placements at IISER Bhopal is very good. Mainly candidates after BS-MS degree go for higher studies in the world abroad universities like MIT Cambridge, Harvard, Stanford and Princeton etc. Some of the students take admission in Top IITS for PhD and many students placed in job sectors.

In response to your question, I'd like to tell you that predicting which top IIT's you can achieve with this GATE Score in XE can be a little tough. This is due to the fact that the GATE cutoff varies from year to year and for different categories of pupils. The GATE cutoff for IITs varies by discipline and category.  While preparing the GATE cutoff for Mechanical Engineering, the authorities will consider the following factors.

1. The difficulty level of the examination

2. No. of candidates appeared in the exam

3. No. of availability of seats

4. previous years’ cutoff trends etc.

Otherwise, I believe Engineering Science from IIT Hyderabad might be a better option with a sea of opportunities in both industry and research. If you have any plans to pursue UPSC CSE or Examinations like CAT, GMAT prefer IIT Hyderabad over NIT Warangal. IITH has a huge locational advantage being only the 4th IIT after IITB, D & M being located in a Metro Cit, near IT, Tech and Finance Hubs of Cyber City and Secunderabad, hence providing huge scope and impetus to training and placements.

Engineering science:  This program generally focuses on the general application of various combinations of mathematical and scientific principles which include analysis and evaluation of engineering problem. This will apply to the  field research like human behaviour,biology, statistics etc.

Engineering physics: In this program mainly focus on the advance physics topic just like physics major . Mainly tends to work on the technology and science .

Both the courses are good, but engineering science is an interdisciplinary course,so more door is open for careers. But does not mean another course does not have career. However, it is up to your interset in the subject and field.
