You are not eligible for JoSAA counselling if your NIOS marksheet has only 4 subjects. JoSAA requires a single marksheet with at least 5 subjects, including PCM and English. You need to reappear through NIOS with all 5 subjects in one marksheet to qualify..
The official SCERT Class 6 English textbook can be downloaded from sites like apboardsolutions.com. Study notes, summaries, and Q&A are available on apbadi.net. Practice materials and solutions for each chapter are also provided on AP Board Solutions.
For extra help, Embibe offers mock tests and smart revision tools. These resources follow the 2025–26 AP syllabus and are free to access.
Hii,
With a 77 percentile in English and 88 percentile in GAT, your marks is actually quite decent especially since you belong to the OBC category. These scores can definitely give you an edge in some central universities. Now, when it comes to the University of Hyderabad, it’s true that the cutoffs are usually quite high, especially for popular courses. So yes, it can be a bit competitive there.
As for CUK (Kalaburagi) and CUTN (Tiruvarur), their cutoffs tend to be a bit more flexible. Based on your percentile, your chances of getting a seat there are much stronger. Among the two, CUTN is steadily improving in terms of placements, especially in the humanities and social sciences streams. On the other hand, Hyderabad University has one of the best reputations and placement records among central universities.
Just make sure to regularly check their official websites for counselling dates, application deadlines, and updates.
All the best!
Hello Mona
As you are a Class 12th CBSE Commerce Student and have failed in Accountancy, you will be shown "PASS" as you have passed in five subjects including the additional subject (also, once check what is written on your result through CBSE result website).
The Accountancy subject will show "FAILED" or "INELIGIBLE".
It is up to you if you want to give supplementary exam and upon your future goals. Because in the future some organisations may ask for full PASS and while some may not.
Thank You!!!
Hello Aspirant,
Yes, M.A. Economics is available in both English and Gujarati medium in a number of universities in Gujarat. It really depends on the university/college's provision of medium. I suggest you refer to the official prospectus and/or contact the admissions section of your preferred institution.
Since your goal is to get into top IIMs (A, B, C) through the CAT route after graduation, and not through IPM, here’s the best option:
Best for CAT prep: Delhi University has a strong academic base and gives enough time for CAT preparation.
Economics Hons is well respected by IIMs.
DU students often do well in CAT due to strong peer competition.
Low fee, great ROI.
Known for business exposure, but it’s a private institute, and TAPMI is more known for PGDM, not UG.
Costlier than DU.
You may be able to convert to their PGDM directly, but it won’t help for IIM A/B/C.
Good for social sector and research.
Not ideal if you want corporate MBA via CAT.
Focus is more on development, not business.
It's new and doesn't have the brand weight like IIM A/B/C yet.
Since you’re not interested in IPM, this won’t align with your plan.
