ENT
Hello Aspirant,
You are passionate about Obstetrics & Gynecology but only a diploma option is possible and just in case you want to consider the future scope. But remember, the scope of a diploma is limited compared to DNB./MD. Among the many other specialties you could apply to, DNB Anesthesia, ENT, and Ophthalmology are all good choices with a positive scope of practice. If a work-life balance is most important to you, then Ophthalmology is the better option; if your primary goal is to work in a surgical field and you love challenges, then ENT makes more sense; and if you have no problems with flexible hours and have open interests with getting in to high demand specialties, then Anesthesia will provide you a consistent and stable scope of practice. All in all, I think you should seriously consider which field you could see yourself practicing for a long time, not just because of your current medical rank.
Hey! With a 35k rank, a diploma seat in OBGYN is possible and if that’s the branch you’re genuinely interested in, I would suggest you go for it. Later on, you can always upgrade through secondary DNB, so it won’t stop your long-term plans.
As for the other options – Anaesthesia, ENT, and Ophthalmology – all three are good branches in their own way. Anaesthesia gives you wide demand and scope in critical care, ENT and Ophthalmology are more surgical and can open up private practice opportunities later.
Since you’ve mentioned you’re hardworking and flexible, the decision should depend on what you really want to see yourself doing in the long run. If you’re passionate about women’s health, choose OBG; if you want comparatively better work–life balance, Anaesthesia can be considered.
MD ENT in AIQ for the general category generally closes around 440–444 NEET PG marks, which likely translates to an All India Rank somewhere near 12,000–14,500, based on broader branch-wise cutoff data.
At a rank of 45,336, getting MS-Obs & Gyn or Ophthalmology in top private colleges of MP is a little difficult, as these courses close at much lower ranks (under 20–30k usually). However, you may still have chances in some colleges .

For ENT, chances are better compared to Obs & Gyn. You should definitely apply in Mop-Up rounds where vacant seats often open up, and sometimes cut-offs go higher.
Thank you!
Hii,
Master of Surgery in Ear, Nose and Throat or MS ENT is a postgraduate surgical program of 3 years duration. MS ENT is a higher-level medical degree in which doctors are taught how to diagnose and treat issues related to the ears, nose, throat, or nearby areas.
Some of the best colleges for MS in ENT course are given below
Hope this information will help you
Reservation Advantage: Since reserved categories typically have lower cutoff ranks than regular categories, being in the SC category greatly boosts your prospects. Demand for Specialisations: Compared to ENT, anaesthesia is typically less competitive, therefore your prospects of getting a seat in anaesthesia may be higher. Past Year's Cutoffs: To have a better understanding of your possibilities, it's best to look at the past year's cutoff ranks for SC category seats in ENT and anaesthesia. These ranks change every year. Counselling Rounds: Take part in every counselling round; there may be openings in subsequent rounds. In a government college, you may be able to get a seat in anaesthesia or maybe ENT depending on your rank and category.
With an All India Quota (AIQ) rank of 105,497, it is highly unlikely to secure a seat in MS ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat) at most colleges. MS ENT is a competitive specialty, and cut-off ranks are generally much lower due to limited seats and high demand.
Options to Consider:
Private Colleges: You may have a chance in private medical colleges, especially under management quota, but this often comes with higher tuition fees.
Alternative Specialties: Consider applying for other less competitive specialties where your rank may be more favorable.
Future Attempts: If you are determined to pursue MS ENT, consider preparing for the next NEET exam to improve your rank.
For the best guidance, check with the specific colleges or counseling authorities regarding the latest cut-off trends .
Management quota seats is for those students who have secured a good rank in NEET and are willing to pay the management quota fees so non domicile of Tripura can also participate in counselling process through management quota.
Also candidates must fulfill the criteria set by medical college like neet ug minimum marks age limit etc check with the college is compulsory.
