will i get an ent ophthalmology or radiotherapy govt seat with a neet pg rank of 41188 I belong to sc , female ?

iammohdshareef 3rd Feb, 2020

According to last year cut offs, for ENT, you have a chance in Dharbhanga Medical College. For Opthamology with this rank, you cannot get a Government College. You can get a PG Diploma seat in Santosh Medical College. This is a Private College. You can get a seat in MD Raadiology in Shree Balaji Medical College. This is all based on previous cut offs. But cut offs also change every year. To check options for your home state, check our college predictor:

Dnb ENT VS PRIVATE CLG ENT ?! which to choose

lubhan cherwoo 1st Apr, 2020
Hi,
In general, People prefer MD/MS Over DNB. While the
knowledge acquired will be same, the hands on surgical exposure in DNB depends upon the institute that you choose. If possible, try getting a MS/MD .If not don't hesitate to choose DNB, if you get your desired
speciality.

DNB after MS

  • An added degree over your MS and you feel more confident.
  • There are many countries which recognise DNB degree but not MS
  • DNB is a very standard exam and giving that actually gives you an insight into experiencing a difficult OSCE exam as the pattern is totally different and it widens your horizon of knowledge

My rank in Neet pg 2020 is 31k ... obc category from TN.. will i have any chances of getting anaesthesia / ent / ophthal in govt clg?? through all india or state counselling ??

Juee Hote 7th Oct, 2024

State Counselling (Tamil Nadu): Since state cutoffs are typically more forgiving than the All India Quota (AIQ), your chances of receiving a state quota seat are higher. Tamil Nadu offers a good number of medical seats, and your chances are enhanced if you belong to the OBC group.

Preference for Specialisation:

Anaesthesia is the most accessible speciality because its cutoffs are typically lower than those of ENT and ophthalmology.
Even though ENT and ophthalmology are somewhat more competitive specialities, you still have a possibility to get state quota seats because of your rank and OBC category status.
All India Quota (AIQ): Because of intense competition, obtaining these specialisations through AIQ may be more difficult in prestigious government colleges.
