Burhan Khan 23rd Dec, 2019

Hello, Divya!

Geology deals with the study of solid Earth, its rocks, its other solid structures, its minerals, its physical and chemical properties, its water resources and the processes and reactions by which their state and properties change. Thus, it is evident that geology is basically Earth Science.

Forensic Sciences is a 3-year graduate course which involves the application of scientific knowledge to the investigation of crimes. Professionals in this discipline apply their knowledge of science to analyze the evidence found at a crime scene.

B.Sc Statistics is a three-year undergraduate course in statistics which focuses on the collection, meaningful segregation, and interpretation of collected data. The curriculum of B.Sc Statistics is designed to teach students subjects like probability and permutations.

B.Sc. in Environmental Science is an undergraduate course wherein learning is imparted to eligible candidates in concepts such as sustainable resource development, environmental health, and ecological sustainability, among others.

According to me, B.Sc Geology is best option amongst all.

A geologist can work in engineering and consulting firms, government agencies, mining companies, petroleum companies, museums. The UPSC conducts exams for placement in GSI, Central Ground Water Board etc. They also have an option to take up IAS/Forestry Service.

In India, the starting salary of the Geologist arises between Rs. 2.5 Lakh to Rs. 3.5 Lacs per annum in both private and public sector. The salary will be on their proficiency, designation & experience in the particular area.

All the best!

Hope this helps!
