Hii this is harshika. I belongs to ews category and farmer quota. I got 10364 rank in ap eamcet. Can I have a chance to get govt college and if? Which course is preferable. Can I have a chance to get free govt seat in agriculture course

Shruti Smaranika 25th Dec, 2020

Hello aspirant,

If you're from OC category, then chances of getting a seat in agriculture the government college seems to be low because you did not manage to secure more marks in the entrance exam, despite your quota. However, if you're from BC-B, BC-C, BC-D, BC-E, SC or ST category, then chances of getting agriculture is possible. With that rank, you can pursue horticulture, CABM, food science and fishery. However, it is an estimation based on last year results categorically on various courses and your performance in the exam. So just check the official results to see whether you've managed to pass or not and if you, then you will be eligible for admission.

This link will help you to predict the chances of getting a seat in the college as per your rank-

at what percentile i will under 2000 rank in jee mains in ews category.

S. Abhishek Sagar 25th Dec, 2020
Hello aspirant.

To secure a rank below 2000 under the open category ews you need to score marks ranging from 200-210. You need to secure a minimum percentile of 99.78 %. Hence for scoring more than 200 marks you can get a rank less than rank 2000.

i got 437 marks in neet i belong to OC EWS category and i am from andhra pradesh .can i get seat in BDS A category

Sowmya Konkala 24th Dec, 2020

hello aspirant,

As of now its tough to say if you can fetch a seat because the cutoff changes every year with college and this year the cutoff went high.but with previous year analysis and ranks, category we can find if you have possibilities into colleges.now you need to have minimum of 520+to fetch a seatin bds in government medicals colleges .a little less than that could fetch you a seat in private bds colleges.but this year the cutoff increased by atleast 30-40 marks or morecausing a difference in ranks by thousands.so you might have  very less chances to fetch a seat in bds .you can try for bams.nevertheless give a try for bds.for more info about cutoffs check: https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-ap

how many marks are required to get CSE in NITs for EWS category All India Quota?

Anurag Khanna 2nd Feb, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

See different NITs have different closing ranks for CSE branch but if we go for rough idea then EWS category candidate should score at least 180-200 marks in JEE-Main out of 300 marks in JEE-Main 2021. Now, let us get cleared with an example, so as we go through the latest cut-offs of 2020 then it shows that the closing rank for NIT Warangal was 236 for CSE branch in NIT Warangal under Other state quota for EWS category. Now to secure such rank you should have your JEE-Main 2021 score at least 185 marks out of 300 and percentile against this is expected to be in the range of 99.5-100 .

i have qualified my ugc net jrf under ews category.....can i apply for phd in general category ???

Aditi amrendra Student Expert 20th Dec, 2020
Hello,

But why do you want to apply for Ph.D in General category if you have passed NET with EWS category ? If you have valid documents then its better option to apply as an ews category candidate.
Although you can also apply as a general candidate as it's totally upto you.But they might ask for your ews certificate since you have passed JRF as an ews candidate.

I hope this helps.
