My jee main rank is 120000 I belong to Uttar Pradesh and belong to EWS category. Can I get mechanical or civil in MMMUTGorakhpur ?

chandni deb 18th Nov, 2020

Dear Student,

as per the cutoff range of last year, the chances for you to get a seat in MMMUT Gorakhpur based on your JEE Mains rank and above mentioned category is quite less. However there are other colleges that you will be able to secure a seat in, namely,

  • D.Y. Patil College of Engineering, Pune
  • Rizvi College of Engineering, Mumbai
  • Pillai College of Engineering, Mumbai
  • Dr. D.Y. Patil Institute of Technology, Pune
  • TSEC Mumbai
  • Terna College of Engineering, Mumbai

As the information stated above is based on last years cutoff, there are chances for it to have variations as the cutoff for each year varies, hence if you would like to get more precise predictions, you can find the college predictor tool helpful. It is provided in the link given below.

WILL THERE BE EWS QUOTA SEATS IN ALL PRIVATE COLLEGES IN GUJARAT I MBBS 2020 ADMISSION? IS THERE ANY REDUCTION IN FEES FOR EWS CATEGORY IN MANAGEMENT QUOTA SEATS OF PRIVATE COLLEGES??

anirudha vats 18th Nov, 2020

Hey,

The EWS QUOTA reservation as directed by the supreme Court has to be implemented in every college for admission . The rule was new last year so most of the colleges didn't include it in their admission process.

But I guess from this year the college will include the EWS reservation category in their admission process . The college with EWS quota last year is given in the link below. You can refer to that link to get a clear idea about the college and their cut offs.

As far as the fee is concerned, there is no reduction in the fees of student belonging to EWS category.

Hope that helps.

Thank you.

sir, spot admission is available for unregistered students, i couldnt register because Im hospitalized because of corona, I saw that the one vacancy in ews category im also in ews category i got 21.25 marks in mcom cucet exam please reply me

pkp.inutail 17th Nov, 2020

Greetings,

So generally spot admissions are done to fill the vacant seats by different colleges and universities according to the categories that they have available. Typically spot admission process happens really fast as by the time the vacant seats are filled the regular academic schedule is already in full flow. This creates certain restrictions on the college

- To fill the seats fast they only give just one chance to candidates that are applying

- If a candidate fails to appear for the spot admission on the required date he/she is immediately bypassed and the next person in line is allotted the seat

- If a candidate fails to submit required documents then also he/she is bypassed for the next in line

As you can see, it is a hard and fast process that does not leave much room for candidates to take their time.

If you still want then you can try and contact the college authorities regarding your spot admission process and send someone else in your place (parents, etc) to submit the documents and compete the process, if the college is fine with it then you'll get admission easily.

best of luck.

Which branch can i expect till spot round 2020 in hbtu kanpur if i belong to the UP EWS category and my jee mains CRL rank is 158400?

Anurag Khanna 17th Nov, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

According to the category and rank you have mentioned in the question you cannot get any of the branch in HBTU Kanpur as per previous year's cut-offs but yes I would suggest you to sit for some other state counselling because in some of the state government colleges you can get admission on such ranks.

Note that the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors.

So you can use JEE-Main College Predictor to predict your chances of admission in different engineering colleges of India :-

If I do registartion for EWS category then for CSAB Round 1 counselling, will I be considered for OP category. In published seat availability for CSAB I am seeing very few colleges have seat available for EWS category. Does that mean I will loose the chance in those colleges if I apply for EWS?

ARYAN SAGAR 17th Nov, 2020
Dear student,

The csab special round counselling is done for filling the vacant seat into NITs, IIITs, gftis and IIEST. Anf in CSAB special round counselling the CRL rank is used for counseling and seat allocation. So, if you belong from ews category, then still your crl rank will be used.

Actually the chances of getting colleges from ews category, will all depend upon your crl rank.
In some college there is no ews category, so, there is no chance that your can get those.

So, it is advisable that you fill only that colleges which have ews reservation. Otherwise there is still an option of open category.

And also check out the following link to know more about csab special round counselling and the previous year cutoff Trends ( note that all the mentioned ranks are CRL rank not category wise ranks ) :-

For CSAB admission, is it advisable to select EWS category (if I have ceritifcate). I have JEE Main score 22280 and EWS 3500. Will selcting EWS category give me any benefit.

Jay Singh 16th Nov, 2020

Hi. Yes it will definitely give you an edge if you apply under ews category. This year, the cutoffs have fallen substantially as compared to 2019. You will get a better branch than what you could get with the general category. So go for the ews category and all the best.

Regards.

I am in EWS category and have required certificate. For CSAB admission, does EWS has limited quota and if I apply in that category will I still be considered for Open seat if EWS gets exhausted.

DrTeeth 16th Nov, 2020

There is a set number of seats distributed for each category. Right now we have a 10% reservation for EWS too, which means that 10% of the total seats in an institute are reserved for the economically weaker candidates.

If the EWS seats are filled by the time your rank is reached in the merit list while the counselling procedure is going on, you can claim the general or unreserved seats if they are vacant.
