my have brother have scored 450 belongs to EWS category general will he get govt college in tamilnadu, kerala , Andrapradesh or karnataka in any one of these state college in AIQ round 2

Swarnabha Das 11th Nov, 2020

Dear Aspirant

At first congratulations and best wishes for your result  . I am afraid to say with this marks your chances to get government colleges are almost negative through All India counselling for 15% seats  even in Tamilnadu Kerala Karnataka ryc. You can still try in state counselling  for remaining 85% seats . Different state counselling cut offs vary from each other.
For different states it depend upon availability of colleges, student number etc various things . You have not mentioned your state . You must mention that for us to answer precisely. You must go for your respective state's counselling. Though chances for you are tough for you in there also for government colleges. However you can get easily many private medical colleges.

Anurag Khanna 2nd Oct, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

According to the category rank you have mentioned in the question you cannot get any of the NITs as per previous year's cut-offs but yes I would suggest you to sit for some state counselling because in some of the state government colleges you can get admission on such ranks.

Note that the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors.

So you can use JEE-Main College Predictor to predict your chances of admission in different engineering colleges of India :-

what is ews category in neet 2l20

Abhyudaya Singh 1st Oct, 2020
Hello Akash
EWS stands for economically weaker section which was brough into action last year (bill passed by modi government) .Under this government directed to increase seats by 10% for ews category students
With effect from 2019, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has brought EWS quota in NEET-UG admission. As per the official rule, 10% of the seats will be reserved for the candidates financially unsound background. Such candidates must not be covered under any other reservation scheme and the gross family income should not exceed Rs. 8,00,000/-. Clear criteria and guidelines have been issued by the authority based on which the beneficiaries of the EWS reservation will be distinguished. The EWS category will be applicable to PwD and CW category seats available in Delhi University and medical college of RML Hospital. Following are the detailed criteria.

Those candidates whose family own any of the following assets will not be considered eligible to avail admission under EWS quota.

5 acres of agricultural land and above

Residential flat of 1000 sq ft. and above

Residential plot of 100 sq. yards and above in notified municipalities

Residential plot of 200 sq yards and above in areas others than the notified municipalities.

Candidates must note that EWS reservation at all India level will be offered in the central universities only. For the 85% state quota seats, respective state counselling authority will release their own criteria based on which EWS reservation will be implemented. To accommodate the 10% reservation criteria, seats have been increased so that pre-existing NEET reservation criteria is not disturbed.

I have got 18000 rank in ews category in jee mains can I get any government institue?

ARYAN SAGAR 1st Oct, 2020
Dear student,

As you have given jee mains this year and have secured 18000 rank in ews category, then it is quite impossible for you to get any seat in any Nit.
Because for getting a seat in NIT your rank must be under 8000 from ews category in jee mains 2020.
But there is a chance of getting nits if you belong from home state quota.

If you belong from home state quota then in josaa counseling you can get :-

NIT HAMIRPUR (chances of getting civil engineering) and NIT TRICHY (can easily get civil engineering or Electrical and Electronics Engineering)

But if you belong from other state then, you can't get any NIT with 18000 ews rank in josaa all rounds counseling.

But during CSAB round one counselling there is  chance that you can get some seat in good NITs  like in NIT Surathkal or in NIT Warangal if you belong from other state.

You can also get hbti kanpur (a very good government college) with this much jee mains rank from ews category.

Also check out our JEE mains college predictor tool to get an appropriate idea of the college has that you can get on the basis of your JEE mains rank :-

my neet score is 294 .i am eligible for bams private colleges in Maharashtra? i belongs to ews category.

Rashmita Paul 1st Oct, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

Your NEET score is 294. Usually for  BAMS one must score 420+  for general category for government college. For private it is 300+.  Also it too depends upon last years cut-off. Adding it with 15% All India quota  and 85% state quota seats in government colleges. Your Overall Percentile is:78.59 - 79.19  and when it comes to rank, your Predicted Rank is : 296790 - 336940  . For EWS category there comes 10% seat reservation.

Use this to predict  the colleges by using this predictor link:

hi, sir, I got 99marks in ap eamcet as per response sheet. from ews category. any chanche to me to get veterinary seat in Gnnavaram? and icar marks will nearly 320 which best for me agbsc Or veterinary???

arpan00002 5th Oct, 2020

Hi aspirant,

You got 99 marks in ap eamcet. You asked if you can get a seat in Gannavaram or not.

Now, look, as you don't write the marks got in ipe, I can't predict your actual rank. Here is the calculation procedure of ap eamcet merit marks:

Total score= IPE score + EAMCET score

IPE score= [(Total group marks for 600)/ 24 ] gives you marks out of 25

EAMCET score= (75/100)*EAMCET normalised marks.

Just go through it & you may get your merit score.

A merit score vs rank list is also given here. You may go through it to get your rank:

Marks: 99-90

Rank:1-100

Marks: 89-80

Rank: 101-1k

Marks: 79-70

Rank: 1k-5k

Marks: 69-60

Rank: 5k -15k

Marks: 59-50

Rank: 15k - 50k

Marks: 49-40

Rank: 50k - 1.5 L

Marks: 39-30

Rank: 1.5L+

So, look, if you get rank between 1.4k to 1.6k, you may get a good government college seat easily.

Here is an ap eamcet college predictor:

https://dqxeclau.top/ap-eamcet-college-predictor

Your Icar marks is 320. So your rank should be around 4500.Now, look, 300+ score in ICAR is a medium marks. So, you may get government colleges but the chances are low.

All the best  !!
