Can you please explain me about EWS category in Jee Advanced And Jee mains is there are benifits of it and is the same examination is going to done or a different exam. all about EWS in jee

shravyamdsce 26th Sep, 2020

Hi Kartik,

EWS Category reservation is given to the economically weaker section of the General Category. There is a significant advantage to EWS Category students in JEE Mains and JEE Advance. As per, 2019 JEE Mains Cut off, EWS Cut off was 78.21 against the general cut off 89.75. Similarly, in 2020 JEE Mains, EWS Cut off is 70.24, lower than OBC Cut off 72.88, whereas the General Cut off is 90.37.

In JEE Advance, as well, EWS Cut off in 2019 was lower than General Category Student.

Hope, this information suffices your curiosity.

can i get NIT with 24958 AIR in jee 2020 according to ews category

Dhruv 26th Sep, 2020
Hello, I think you have given Ews category rank so, if it is right then at this rank you can't get any Nit or even IIIT, good Gfti like Pec Chandigarh,Bit Mesra, JNU because cutoffs are very high for this Colleges , cutoff changes every year. But chances looks not possible.

You may get some lower branches in some gfti like Gurukul Kangri Haridwar, Assam University,Tejpur University, etc .

For this you have to wait till spot round of counseling.

Apply for Jossa counseling and then for Csab counseling which takes place after Jossa counseling and also apply for other states government and private colleges which accepts Jee mains marks for admission.

Refer to this link it will help you.

sir according to NTA Ans key i have secured 576marks.Is there any chance to get gov college in bihar or other state,im from bihar.ews category

Anurag Khanna 26th Sep, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

See it is little bit difficult to predict exactly whether you will get seat or not because different colleges have different cut-offs for State quota and All India Quota. Also, cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

If we go through previous years NEET cut-off trends in Bihar then there are some chances for you to get seat in some of the GMCs, the reason being is last year the lowest cut-off marks was 576 for Government Medical College, Bettiah under Home State quota for EWS category.

You can check the previous years cut-offs through the link given below :-

https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-bihar

To have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon your marks, category, and state you can use NEET College Predictor:-

I hope this information helps you.

Good Luck!!
