Respected madam/Sir My name is A Manju Sri , i am studying 11 th standard in sri chaitanya college . My caste is OBC . Question : How many marks i (OBC student) should get in JEE MAINS Examination to get rank in NIT ? Please answer my question Thank you

Anushri Varshney 6th Mar, 2022

Dear candidate,

In order to get a NIT college and a decent seat you must have scored good marks in jee mains such that it will help you to get the dream seat.

See, you should understand that cut off varies every year and just passing a cutoff might be risky because you donot know how much is the highest score.

It is better to study hard for the examination and do your best but you should also look for cutoff scenarios for understanding. For safer side it is must to make  the study pattern for the same.

I hope this will help you.

Thank you and very good luck:)

what is jee main examination 2022

Sharon Rose Student Expert 4th Mar, 2022

Hello,

Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) is an entrance examination for admission to B.TECH/B.ARCH/B.PLANNING in NITs/IIITs/GFTIs. This year JEE Main is conducted twice, the first session in the month of April and the second session in the month of May. The application process for JEE Main April session is ongoing. To appear for JEE Main a candidate must have passed 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry from a recognized board. JEE Main score is also accepted by several institutes. In states like Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh the admission to B.Tech is based on JEE Main score. To get the list of institutes accepting JEE Main click on the link below

https://engineering.careers360.com/colleges/list-of-engineering-colleges-in-india-accepting-jee-main

To get admission to B.Tech a candidate must appear for JEE Main paper 1, if a candidate is seeking admission to B.Arch then he/she must appear for JEE Main Paper 2, if a candidate is seeking admission to B.Plan then he/she must appear for JEE Main Paper 3. A candidate can appear for one or all three papers depending on their interest. As JEE Main is conducted twice in a year a candidate can appear for one or both the sessions. If a candidate appear for only one session then the marks scored in that session will be considered. If a candidate appears for both the session then best of two sessions will be considered for admission.  Candidates scoring the minimum cut off marks are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced. This minimum cut off marks changes every year depending on total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination and total number of seats available etc. Last year the minimum cut off marks was as follows category wise

  • General: 87.8992241
