Hello Dhanalakshmi,
As of recent times, there has been a growing interest in the concept of Family Medicine in India. Family medicine is emerging as a viable career option for medical graduates in India. Family Medicine is a combination of all clinical branches and aims at addressing the most common health care needs of the community.
A family doctor ideally keeps track of the health status of an entire family and refers them to specialists as and when required.
The practice, most of the time, turns out to be immensely gratifying and a great career option for those seeking to pursue clinical subjects.
Currently, there are no super specialty courses designed for Family Medicine. There are many fellowships one can pursue as per individual interests.
Hope this helps you. We wish you the best for your future endeavours!
Regards
