Can someone plz rank engineering branches? so it could be ez for me cs ece mechanical it production jst for opinion....thx kirti mam for help with the previous question

Aditi amrendra Student Expert 30th Jul, 2020
Hello,

See, it doesn't matter which branch you choose, the most important thing is which college you choose.
Like, let me tell you that if you can get into IITs,you can get placement in Investment banks even of you are from mechanical or chemical engineering.
But if we look placement wise then probably CSE  candidates have more chances. But if you are really interested in any branch of engineering then you should go for it because in the end your interest is the only thing that matters when you get into a job.
For example if you are interested in mechanical engineering and just because someone said you will get good placement, you took CSE and then you got placed in an IT firm and now you have to sit 8 hours in front of a computer and if you don't like it then trust me no matter what salary you get, you will.never enjoy your work and life.
So choose wisely.

Good Luck

Kumari Shivani 29th Jul, 2020
Hello
According to Wikipedia production engineering also known Manufacturing engineering defined as a " branch of professional engineering that shares many common concepts and ideas with other fields of engineering such as mechanical, chemical, electrical, and industrial engineering. Manufacturing engineering requires the ability to plan the practices of manufacturing; to research and to develop tools, processes, machines and equipment; and to integrate the facilities and systems for producing quality products with the optimum expenditure of capital."
You can have its detail on https://g.co/kgs/s239Ab.
The cut-off of previous year in BE Industrial and Production engineering was 16530 for general and 28124 for obc.
Salary would range from 3 to 6LPA however the range would vary basis location and organisation etc.
If you have done your academic course from a premiere institute it starts from 8LPA to 10.5LPA.

Is diploma in food production or craftsmanship in food production more efficient

Sk Student Expert 16th Jun, 2020

Dear Aspirant,

The Diploma and Craftsmanship offered by The National Council for Hotel Management are good courses specifically tailored for the hotel industry.

The Diploma course requires you to have 10+2 with English as a subject and the course duration is 36 weeks with 24 weeks of industrial training. Training to be a production staff that can move into a supervisory role.

The Craftsmanship Progam is a 1½ year craft certificate program in the specialized trade of Food Production and equip students with basic skills required in the kitchens. Training to be a production staff.

Having a Diploma is much more useful and especially when moving into a supervisory cadre as you will have craftsmen working under the supervisor.

Good Luck

I am not interested in going to software engineering field , one of my interests is to go industrial field , that is manufacturing , my aim is to set an industry on my own . what ever may be the production , but with new ideas and technology, which course should I take after 12 th. I am a JEE asp

Rayan Rego 17th Jul, 2020

Manufacturing And production is  perrenial  demand for consumers. With the increase in population the demand for produced goods increase with due course of time . And with this situation if you want to set an industry of your own ,you need to identify that which product is in more demand and will continue to be in demand.

Hence I Suggest you to to  Do Production Engineering/Metallurgical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering  or Mechanical engineering. Production Engineering - Keep this as a top priority bacause every industry has production.

Thank you & All the best
