Hello!
Most of the institutes or universities in India offering a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree prefer candidates who have graduated in Fine arts, i.e., Bachelor in Fine Arts (BFA).
However, there are some universities/institutions like Sar ojini Naidu School of Performing Arts, Fine Arts and Communication w hich offers MFA course to students from any discipline.
Hope this answers your query.
The minimum eligibility required to take admission in MFA program is at least 50% in either BFA or any course in which Fine arts or related subjects were taught as such. Hence, the chances of admission is low as compared to the students who are from the Fine Arts background.

A fine art is a fine collection of art that is done to create beautiful things. Fine art is rooted in drawing and design-based works such as painting, printmaking, and sculpture. Fine arts is a broad category of art that involves work created for aesthetic value and beauty rather than functional value. other non-design-based activities regarded as fine arts, include photography and architecture, although the latter is best understood as an applied art. today contemporary fine art is more than just painting and is defined by 7 fine art disciplines like painting, sculpture, architecture, poetry, music, literature, and dance.
Fine art students specialize in one or several media, such as painting, sculpture, photography, film, animation, illustration, printmaking or ceramics. For instance, you could take a degree specializing in comic art, or in community arts practice. The area of fine art is constantly being extended to embrace new activities arising because of either new technology, or artistic invention.
