which side is better to opt; ba in event management or ba in fine arts? when considering scope, good positions and all.
Both the course you have mentioned have there own advantages. But the courses differ at the point of applicability and requirement in industry. As you have mentioned you are more interested in jobs. Now after BA finearts you may join various agencies who work on interior designing and live space painting, Architectural mapping, Animation companies etc. But in each of this category you have a level of competition and thus the employability decreases but there are enough scope to work on it.
Now if you thing of Event management then you will find a plenty of event management agencies. So the applicability of your knowledge will be much higher in this sector. Also, if you go for Masters then you can have really good career scopes with moderately high salaries. Also if you go for it then you can work in your business of event management.
Thus as you can see you have a lot of scope to work in both the fields. Now its your choice to select the one which satisfies your ambition and goals. If you really get involved in your field then mark my words you will excel in your career.

Can I count fine arts/paintings marks in best of four while applying to St. Stephens for ba hons philosophy (specifically asking)? Im having english core with pcm & fine arts as my current subjects in grade 12.
Best four subjects in DU need to have a minimum of 70% theory component in the exam.
The process to calculate DU best of four is straightforward. The university evaluates the highest scores of the top four subjects any candidate has obtained in their qualifying exam.
Further, when calculating the DU best of four marks, take up two academic/elective subjects from List A and List B. In case you have selected any course that is not included in list A or list B, there is a clear disadvantage of 2.5% marks.
You cannot apply for Philosophy Hons. because the eligibility criteria requires a candidate to have studied philosophy as a subject in qualifying exam.
