Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education (KARE) is a prestigious privately-funded deemed-to-be university in the Virudhunagar district of Tamil Nadu. It was initially known as Kalasalingam University but dropped the 'university' from its name after receiving recognition by the University Grants Commission (UGC) in 2017. The academy has gained an 'A' Grade ranking from the NAAC and holds accreditation from the NBA as per Washington Accord. Very few companies visit Kalasalingam University. IBM is the main one, and the remaining companies are small start-ups. TCS, Wipro, etc., companies don't even come here. IBM offers few jobs. Internships in our university are good with few start-ups.

Early this month, NMC did take over MCC according to the new structuring of policies. Regarding NEXT replacing NEET UG and FMGE, only time can tell. There has been no official information regarding this and there has been no hint of such moves. FMGE is for Candidates who have studied abroad to practise in India. And NEXT is the admission mode for MD/MS Courses. And so it is unlikely that NEXT will take over these.
