Many universities and institutions in Singapore require you to take examination like SAT or ACT, IELTS or TOEFL, SAT Subject Test etc. in order to be eligible to compete for seats at your desired university. All these examinations are internationally recognised examinations which test you in subjects like English, science, mathematics, social science, humanities, listening, speaking and writing tasks. It is essential for you to score good marks in these examination in order to get an edge over other students who are applying with you, and thus increase your chances at getting into the top universities. These examination also help you with getting good scholarships and grants. 


1. For testing English:

  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS) 

Both these examinations take multiple reading, listening, speaking and writing tasks in order to test your proficiency in the English language. 


2. Testing of other parameters:

  • SAT - It tests you in critical reading and comprehension, mathematics and Writing.
  • ACT- It tests you in english, mathematics, reading comprehension, grammar, science with an optional writing section.


3. SAT Subject Test:

It requires you to do a full time undergraduate degree course at the NTU University. It looks at you academic records, co curricular records and leadership potential. It cover tuition fee, gives a living allowance, accommodation allowance, travel costs to and from Singapore. 
  • Nanyang Scholarship: This scholarship to outstanding students in their undergraduate degree programme. It requires you to do a full time undergraduate degree course at the Nanyang University. It looks at you academic records, co curricular records and leadership potential. It cover tuition fee, gives a living allowance, accommodation allowance, travel costs to and from Singapore. 
  • Along with scholarships, many universities also help you with getting part-time in or off campus. This will help you with your expenses.

National University of singapore do accept applications with a gate percentile of 90. apart from gate, you also need a good percentile in GRE (graduate record exam).

Candidates must have three to four years of work experience (may vary according to university

Eligibility/Requirements for MBA in Australia:

Bachelor degree: Candidates must have completed a bachelor’s degree in any field from a recognised university.

ELTS: Students need to secure a good IELTS score for getting the Australian visa. Students from non-native English speaking countries need to showcase their English language proficiency to secure admission in a university.

Work Experience: Although it is not mandatory but having work experience of at least two-three years definitely proves to be advantageous for aspirants.

GMAT: Most of the Australian universities and colleges accept GMAT score for giving admission to pursue the MBA program. A good GMAT (The Graduate Management Admission Test) score is required to get into a top university to pursue MBA. However, average GMAT score for getting admission in an Australian university is 590.

Admission Tests:

Applicants are advised to register for all required admission tests for admission to Australian universities well beforehand.

The most commonly accepted exam is IELTS which is also the only English proficiency exam accepted by the Australian Department of Immigration and Citizenship.

Graduate Management Admission Exam (GMAT). This is not mandatory, however, few colleges require this to take admission.

Check for the eligibility( SAME AS SINGAPORE)

Apply for tests

Create a document packet complete with transcripts, statement of purpose, letters of recommendation and certified test score (as required)

Understand whether the university is a member of Uni-Assist; if it is a member then apply via Uni Assist, or else apply directly to the university.

The admissions for Winter Semesters usually start in the month of February and closes by May. The universities in turn confirm admissions by early July, giving you enough time for Visa Processing.
