Whats the cut off criteria for kashmiri migrant quota students in neet ug like how much it differ from general category cut off normally and whats the approx safe score for this category every year?

OISHEE BANERJEE 30th Jun, 2025

Hello aspirant,
The Kashmiri Migrant quota is a special category with relaxed cutoffs compared to the General category. While General category MBBS seats usually close above 600 marks, Kashmiri Migrant quota MBBS seats in some colleges have gone as low as 330–380 marks depending on the year and seat availability.

The difference in cutoff can be around 200–250 marks lower than General cutoffs in central universities and a few state quotas that offer this reservation (like Delhi, Rajasthan, Maharashtra).

A safe score for MBBS under this quota is usually 380+, though some years candidates have managed with 340–360 in mop-up rounds. Cutoffs vary slightly each year, so aiming above 400 is safest if you're targeting top colleges.

I didnt qualify for eamcet.. but I belong to minority community so i am thinking to apply for minority seat councelling which will give me leftover seat if any... These are my doubts regarding - Does minority councelling happens together with general councelling or i have to wait till all the phases to complete? - if i will get seat in it will i have to pay donation fees? - or should I get admission in bsc computer science instead of risking 1 year if I dont secure a seat in councelling ? HELP PLEASE

Dear Aspirant,

If you did not qualify in EAMCET but are part of a minority community, you can still apply for minority counselling. This counselling offers leftover or reserved seats in minority institutions. It usually does not occur at the same time as general counselling; instead, it takes place either separately or after the general phases are done. The Minority Welfare Department or the EAMCET authorities organize this process for Muslim or Christian minority students. If you get a seat through this official counselling, you will not have to pay any donation, as the government or AFRC regulates the fees. However, if you go directly to a college through management quota or spot admissions without counselling, you may face higher charges or donations. Whether to wait for counselling or enroll in B.Sc. Computer Science depends on your interests and career goals. If you are interested in software or IT, a B.Sc. in Computer Science is a solid choice that can lead to further studies or jobs in technology. It is a safer option if you are unsure about getting a seat through minority counselling. Therefore, it is wise to apply for minority counselling and also keep B.Sc. Computer Science as a backup to avoid wasting a year. If you secure a seat later through minority counselling, you can withdraw from the B.Sc. course. This way, you don’t take unnecessary risks and maintain your academic progress.

All the Best.

Helo. My cutoff is 181.5 I am a sc candidate My academic general rank is 5292 My academic category rank is 801 My 7.5 general rank is 1321 My 7.5 category rank is 225 Can I get a seat in annamalai university?

Afreen 25th Aug, 2025

Your chances are pretty good in Annamalai University with a cutoff of 181.5 as an SC candidate particularly if you are also applying under the 7.5% government school quota.

For example, the SC cutoff for B.E. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Anna University in 2025 was estimated to be in the range of 180–186.

The final outcome will depend on the specific branch you choose and the overall competition during TNEA counseling.

Good luck!!

I have got 377 in neet 2025 can I get a free seat in this University for BAMS in general category

Shubham Jha 26th Jun, 2025

dear student,

With 377 in NEET 2025 (General Category) , getting a free (government) BAMS seat is very unlikely . Most government colleges have cutoffs around 490–520+ marks.

You can still apply through private or semi-government colleges , where cutoffs are lower, but fees will be higher.

To participate in admission, go through the NEET counselling process (AIQ + State quota). Focus on private colleges or low-demand states.

OISHEE BANERJEE 30th Jun, 2025

Hello aspirant,
With 324 marks, your daughter can get an MBBS seat under the management quota in some private colleges in Karnataka and Telangana. In Karnataka, colleges like Navodaya, MVJ, and Akash may accept this score during mop-up rounds. In Telangana, options like MNR, RVM, and TRR may be available under Category-B seats. Fees range from 12–24 lakh per year. Make sure to register for KEA (Karnataka) and KNRUHS (Telangana) counselling.

142 neet score in general category. Can I get admission for mbbs private or deemed university

lisa 1st Jul, 2025

With a NEET score of 142, it's highly unlikely to secure an MBBS seat in either a private or deemed university for the general category. The cutoffs for MBBS, even in private and deemed institutions, generally require scores significantly higher than 142. While some private colleges might have lower cutoffs in management quotas, 142 is likely below even those relaxed thresholds.

hi I got 131756 general merit rank as sc category student which clg do I get for aiml.

Previa Gayu 26th Jun, 2025

With a general merit rank of 131756 and belonging to the SC category your chances of getting admission in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning depend on the cutoff ranks of different colleges in your state and the reservation policy. You may have good chances to get admission in some mid-level or newly established engineering colleges that offer AIML under SC category quota. To improve your chances you should consider applying during all rounds of counselling and also keep options open in both government and private colleges. Exact allotment depends on seat availability and your state counselling process.

can i get vssut or outr with sc rank of 11 and general rank 224 in ojee mca 2025. Which colleges can I get?

OISHEE BANERJEE 1st Jul, 2025

Hello aspirant,
With an SC position that is essentially 11, you are in an excellent position for MCA admission through OJEE. For VSSUT Burla, closing ranks in 2024 for general category were around 120 and under 200—for SC, likely even higher priority and thus more accessible. So your rank of 11 is more than enough to secure a seat there. For OUAT Bhubaneswar, the closing rank for general MCA was about 1000, so you’re also comfortably eligible for admission.

In short, with your rank, you should have no issues getting an MCA seat at both VSSUT Burla and OUAT Bhubaneswar under the state quota. Ensure you complete your OJEE counselling registration, list both institutes as priorities, and participate actively in the choice-filling rounds.
