i choose 1 language and 2 domain subject and general test in cuet exam can i get admission in du if i score good marks

Hello Aspirant,

You have not mentioned the subject you have applied for. So, these are the eligibility norms.

For DU CUET, these are the norms

  1. One language paper ( mandatory )
  2. Three domain subjects ( mandatory )
  3. A required percentage in language paper

For B.Sc. (Hons.) Anthropology, B.Sc. (Hons.) Biological Sciences

  • 1 language paper from section 1A (a 30% total or more in the language is required) and 3 obligatory domain subjects that comprise Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biological Studies/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry.

For B.Sc. (Hons.) Botany, B.Sc. (Hons.) Zoology, B.Sc. (Hons.) Biomedical Science - 1 language subject (a 30% total or more in the language is required) and three domain subjects, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biological Studies/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry.

For B.Sc. Home Science

  1. Bio, Physics, and any one additional subject from Section B (or)
  2. Bio, Chem, and one additional subject from Section B.

For B.Sc. Mathematics, B.Sc. Statistics

  1. 1 language paper and 3 domain subjects from Section B which includes Mathematics.
  2. A general test selection is also necessary.

For B.Sc. Geology

  1. One language from section 1A with 30% or more in the entrance exam.
  2. Phy, Chem, Maths Or Phy, Chem, Geography/Geology Or Phy, Chem, and Bio/Biological Studies/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry

B.Sc. (Hons) Environmental Science, B.Sc. (Hons.) Food Technology

  1. One language from section 1A in the CUET exam. 30% or more in this subject.
  2. PCM or PCB subject combination to be chosen.

For B.Sc. Chemistry, B.Sc. Physics, B.Sc. Polymer Science

  1. One language from section 1A
  2. PCM subject combination to be chosen.

B.Sc. (Hons.) Computer Science

  1. One language paper from section 1A.
  2. Maths along with the other two subjects from Section-B to be chosen.
  3. The merit record will be made established on the CUET totals achieved in Maths and the additional two subjects.

For B.Sc Microbiology

You had to choose three-domain subjects

  1. 1 language paper from section 1A (a 30% total or more in the language is required) and 3 obligatory domain subjects that comprise Phy, Chem, and Bio/Biological Studies/ Biotech/ Biochem.

So you had to choose three domain-specific subjects to be eligible for DU. So, if are not eligible.

CUET 2022 Exam pattern

There are 4 categories

Section IA – 13 Languages

Section IB – 19 Languages

Section II – 27 Domain-specific Subjects

Section III – General Test

There are two slots in this exam.

Slot-1

You can choose a maximum of 4 exams in Slot 1.

This comprises one language from Section IA, utmost of two domain-specific subjects (Section II) and one General exam (Section III).

2 domain-specific subjects are necessary. So your application is most likely to be rejected.

For slot 2

One language from Section IA & IB and an utmost of four domain-specific subjects from Section II. OR

Two languages from Section IA & IB and a maximum of three domain-specific subjects from Section II.

Language section

1A (language test subjects)

Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Urdu, Assamese, English, Bengali, Punjabi, and Odia.

1B( elective language)

19 languages. Anyone may be chosen.

French, Spanish, German, Nepali, Persian, Italian, Arabic, Sindhi, Kashmiri, Konkani, Bodo, Dogri, Maithili, Manipuri, Santhali, Tibetan, Japanese, Russian, and Chinese.

Domain-specific subjects.

B1

Accountancy/Book Keeping, Biology/ Biological Studies/ Biotechnology, Business Studies, Chemistry, Computer Science/ Informatics Practices, Economics/Business Economics, History, Home Science, Legal Studies, Environmental Studies, Mathematics, Physics, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, and Sanskrit.

B2

Engineering Graphics, Entrepreneurship, Knowledge Tradition Practises in India, Fine Arts/ Visual Arts/ Commercial Arts, Teaching Aptitude, Agriculture, Mass Media/Mass Communication, Physical Education/NCC/Yoga, and Performing Arts.

General Test

Subjects

General Knowledge, Current Affairs, General Mental Ability, Numerical Ability, Quantitative Reasoning (Simple application of basic mathematical concepts arithmetic/algebra geometry/mensuration/s tat taught till Grade 8), Logical and Analytical Reasoning.
